So Near, Yet So Far

Hey people.

I was just reading one of my early entries, "Snow, Comics, And A Soon-To-Be Library Outing". I read Atropos' comments and it makes me a bit downhearted to know that I could get some of those comics but am held back by my parents. I know that they will definitely never approve of buying me comics. One of my friends has "Caroline", she's brought it to school before. And Amulet is definitely selling like hot cakes in Singapore. And Eye brought a library comic, "Oliver Twist" that other day.

She couldn't possibly have borrowed it from my nearby library, she doesn't live in my part of Singapore.

So near, yet so far.

Aww I'm sorry. But when you get older they'll still be around, you can always see them in the future. =)

Thank you. I'm just afraid that they won't be...I don't know, I'm scared that they won't be available by the time I grow up.

They will, anything decent enough has lasting power, and comics/graphic novels are HUGE now, and only growing in popularity. Even if specific ones aren't still being reprinted then, you'd still be able to either get them from libraries or find 2nd-hand copies. =)

Gosh, the title makes me crack up. My father said it once when he was parking his car in the parking lot, he thought he was done parking but he was a little far away so he said" so near yet do far" XD
