The Chocolate ExperimentMONDAY
2nd December 2013, 1.43 PM.
Hey guys!
I was just enjoying some chocolates just now.
In these last few months, I've been able to explore a few different kinds of chocolate. For instance, about maybe a couple of months ago, my father started an 'experiment' to find the perfect dark chocolate. He bought different brands of dark chocolate, all having different percentages of cacao inside (I am still confused as to whether it's spelled as "cacao" or cocoa"!). The only brand I remember is Beryl's and that's because that was the one he, along with the rest of us, liked the best! It had 80% of cocoa inside of it and it practically melts in your mouth (then again, so did the other chocolates)! However, it was kind of expensive. One small box (it wasn't a packet, it was a box) costed around S$3.00 and consisted of 8 small pieces of chocolate. Really? S$3.00+ for 8 small pieces of chocolate? Give me a break!
However, we found Beryl's chocolates at Malaysia while we were on holiday there at KL and they were really cheap! (Malaysia's currency is 2.52 times Singapore's) So my father went nuts and bought a whole lot of them!
Another chocolate brand we found was Brookside and we were at the airport when we passed by a particular chocolate shop. According to them, the chocolates there could only be found at the airport. The chocolates were really good! They had fruit in the middle so my parents bought chocolates with raspberries and pomegranate and they were both equally sweet and delicious (despite my having not eaten a pomegranate before)!
Chocolates are so good...
They do make you fat, however.
Have an awesome day, everyone!
