The Holiday Week In A Nutshell!!
It's mostly about Genting rather than KL though, 'cause I sort of lost interest when I discovered there was free wifi... ^^"
The Holiday Week In A Nutshell
"MONDAY
18th March 2013, 6.30 AM.
Hello Bloopers.
So I'm in the bus now, we're on our way to...I have no idea. I only know that we'll be reaching Genting Highlands in about 6 hours.
Haha, when I'm back home and when I copy-paste all the stuff I'd have written by then, it's probably gonna be a loooong entry.
I'm just listening to Owl City and Taylor Swift (mosty Taylor Swift, though ). I'll stop writing now. Reading or writing in a moving vehicle always gives me a headache.
18th March 2013, 6.54 AM.
I've just settled down in our Golden Cruiser (our bus...) as we've just exited the Departure Hall. As usual, it was huge, bright, and coolly air-conditioned.
Malaysia's Arrival Hall is exactly the opposite of it...
18th March 2013, 7.31 AM.
Well, looks like we're at the Malaysian expressway now.
What did I mean by Malaysia's Arrival Hall being the opposite of Singapore's Departure Hall? Well, the Arrival Hall was kind of small, plus it was crowded this morning. Actually, that's about it. LOL!
I ate a cheese bread with sausages. You love that bread, don't you, T.G? *Smirk* Anyway, when I was almost done eating, my mom told me to pull the curtains across the window as the sun was rising and it was glaring angrily at us (we were on the tight right side and it was facing the sun). She even asked the lady in front of us to pull her curtain all the way (she'd only pulled it half-way), if it was OK with her. At least she asked in a nice way.
Going to take a nap now...
ZzzzzZzzzzZzzzz.....
18th March 2013, 8.48 AM.
I woke up just now, only to find myself drooling all over my hand and my hand stocking.
Ugh.
So, we're apparently at a place called "Yongpeng", according to my mom. We're here to eat, drink and do our business. I didn't have anything to eat as I was too sleepy and slept with my head on the table. While I was sleeping, though, my father disturbed me by swiping his finger across my nose. That woke me up and boy, was I cranky. I glared at him but I knew he'd laugh it off so I gave his plate of food (and curry sauce) a small push. Small, but rough push. My father immediately looked down at his shirt, shocked and angry. I'm pretty sure there wasn't a spot there but I guess he was just checking. I rolled my eyes (with my eyelids closed, so my parents couldn't see my rolling eyes) and tried to go back to sleep, but I couldn't. What made it worse was that I couldn't remember my dreams in the nap before my father woke me up. So I sat there with my head on the table, eyes closed, sulking. Later on, say about maybe 5 or 10 minutes, my father offered me a cup of tea. I knew that he was going to apologise in his usual manner - "I'm sorry, dear. You not wrong, I wrong."
And I knew I should probably just chill. But I just stared at the cup. In the end, we got back onto normal terms.
I love my father.
And I'm a spoiled brat...
Anyway, I'll stop writing for now. I need to get back to sleeeep. :3
18th March 2013, 12.51 PM.
So, now, we're at the waiting stage of our check-in - our mom said that it'd be super long. Well, I can pass the time by listening to my mom's MP3.
Ooooh, more cheese bread with sausages!
Yum! That was delicious. I'm listening to Sparks Fly by Taylor Swift. Gosh, the tune is awesome! Think I might search for an instrumental version of Sparks Fly when I go back home.
My jacket and my mom's jacket is stuffed inside my bag. It is now a very fat, round bag. O.o By the way, I was shocked to find that Sneezy, Sleepy, and Gracious had apparently vanished from my bag in the morning. In replacement, there was a green jacket. I wondered whose jacket it was until my mom admitted that it was hers. So I knew that she'd thrown out the three bears. At least it was because the bears were taking up too much space even if they were small ones. And my mom did allow me to bring Pinky along.
I'm gonna go read a book. :3
18th March 2013, 2.34 PM.
So we've checked in maybe about 20 or 15 minutes ago. We can see the whole theme park from our room, albeit it being rather far away. The air's rather cool up here too. I can't wait to go to the theme park tomorrow! Since we're kind of 'stuck' on top of this mountain, we won't have to go to Sogo (that huge shopping mall) or Masjid India (that's in KL, my mom loves to shop there! ) or shop anywhere else! Hahaha! Though, it will be my mom who will have the last laugh 'cause we are definitely going to be going to Sogo and Masjid India when we check in The Legend...and nope, this is not The Legend hotel, this is the First World hotel at Genting.
18th March 2013, 4.24 PM.
We are all lazing around as usual. My mom is sitting on the bed, watching TV. My brother is using the iPad (playing games, not using the Internet). And my father is asleep. Me? I finished reading The Wishing-Chair Again and am now reading Watership Down. Man, I LURVE that book! It's freakin' awesome! *u*
I feel really guilty 'cause, well, you know Chicken Invaders? The one for iPads? Well, I'm talking about Chicken Invaders 4. It's the best one so far and we keep playing the whole thing over and over again. Yes, we bought the full game. So my brother had lots of achievements and medals and stuff like that. Just now, I wanted to play the game from the beginning an so I asked my brother if I could. He agreed and so I reset the missions. But I innocently pressed the wrong button. That particular button resets the ENTIRE GAME. So I had basically unknowingly deleted all of my brother's achievements and medals. When he found out about it...well, let's just say that he was pretty much upset and annoyed.
*Sighs* Sorry, bro.
18th March 2013, 6.40 PM.
Man, this is awesome.
We're at this garden park that's in front of the theme park's hotel, which is behind the theme park. The air is so refreshing and the view down the mountainside is magnificent. We can see the small-looking town down there and Awana, a hotel lower down the mountainside. We've stayed there before. Gosh, and the greenery? It is beautiful! Gosh, you should really come up here and check it out (unless you already have )! I might post some pictures here on Bloop, anyways. Also, there's actually a maze of hedges! I'm not kidding, it really is a maze! My mom was against me going in the maze alone so I managed to get my brother and father to follow me. We scattered, though (my father's idea!), and my father cheated by going through some of the hedges. I was the first to actually find the exit. Totally cool, man! However, instead of just exiting the maze and going back to my family, I just went back in and went out through the entrance.
18th March 2013, 7.41 PM.
I forgot to mention earlier, before going to the garden park, we had dinner at MarryBrown. I had a plain chicken burger and ice-lemon tea, with a side-dish of mashed potatoes. I was a slightly disgusted to find black pepper in the chicken patty but I ate it anyway. Mashed potatoes? The potatoes are OK enough but what I really love is that brown sauce. *Licks lips* I think it's BBQ sauce, maybe? *Shrugs* However, I've only eaten KFC's mashed potatoes in my whole life and I've never tasted MarryBrown's mashed potatoes. Did I like them? Well, I guess they're OK...but I think it's safe to say that I prefer KFC's mashed potatoes much more than MarryBrown's.
After our dinner, we'd decided to have a walk outside. Yes, outside, in the refreshing cool air. My father and I didn't wear our jackets. I mean, seriously, it's not that cold...OK, it is that cold, but let's just say that my father and I have thick skins. :3 But I'll wear my woolly sweater tomorrow. I didn't bring it here for nothing. Besides, I look awesome in it (Ikachu thinks I look like a model when I wear it ).
After going to that garden park, we went to KFC to buy a drink, I think. Anyways, I had mashed potatoes and enjoyed them as they were way better than MarryBrown's.
18th March 2013, 9.53 PM.
So I've just finished my evening bath. OK, well, it's a night one today but whatever. I took a pretty long time in the toilet (no surprise there) but I guess it was exceptionally long today. That's 'cause I filled up the bath and lay down in the warm water... I know, shouldn't be wasting water, but I rarely get to do that.
My father played a prank on me just now, when we returned to the hotel. As usual, I wanted to be ahead and open the door so I asked my father for the room card. He gave me a card that was white and had a colourful logo in the middle. I took it and ran to our room. I slipped the card in, pulled it out and...red light. I was puzzled. I turned the card to the other side and repeated my actions but to no avail. By then, my family had caught up and they were all puzzled too. I looked at the card, confused. However, had I scrutinised the card more carefully, I might have recognised the serial numbers at the back...
"Look at the card lah," my father said.
"No, the room number's not on the card lah," my mother argued.
My father burst out laughing, and took the card from me.
"Credit card lah, sayang," he chuckled, handing me the actual room card.
All of us was like, -_-
Very funny, ayah, see how I'm laughing? HAHAHA!
LOL. Anyway, "sayang" is Malay for "love", or "my dear", or "my sweetheart". "Ayah" is obviously Malay for "dad". :3
I'm going to go and continue reading the one and only, Watership Down.
G'night, people.
TUESDAY
19th March 2013, 7.59 AM.
Hey, Bloopers!
I've just finished my breakfast at the First World Cafe. What did I have? I ate a cheese omelette (no veggies please!) and two cups of Grape. My mom tried to get me to eat something else too, like toast 'cause she thought that an omelette wouldn't be enough for me. Believe it or not, I actually felt full at the end of my meal. Guess it must've been the Grape. Y'know, when I first went to get a drink, I didn't know there was Grape. I first saw Tea, Hot Water, and Coffee but I wanted something cold this morning. So I looked at the cold drinks and saw Cold Water, Milk (ugh), an unnamed container, and Coca Cola Cordial. I thought that the unnamed was also Coca Cola Cordial since it was right beside it. There was also one of the stuff pouring more milk (yew) in the Milk container. Anyway, I didn't really think that the unnamed container was Coca Cola Cordial since it was a slightly different colour. I wanted to ask the man who was pouring milk about the unnamed container but I was sooooooo SHY!!! In the end, when the man turned around after finishing his pouring of milk, he noticed me and I took the chance to ask him. So apparently it was Grape. After eating our breakfast, we went off to meet my brother and my father, as they were having breakfast at MarryBrown's. My gosh, this is the second time I've heard I Knew You Were Trouble at MarryBrown's.
I'm going to listen to my mom's MP3 (my brother and my father are still eating).
19th March 2013, 8.48 AM.
My brother is an ass-hole.
This is why he often makes me want to scream the F word.
He is just so GREEDY AND SELFISH!!!!
He eats stuff without thinking about other people. Well, he finished his Famous Amos cookies (we went to a Famous Amos outlet yesterday). And then, he had to eat mine!! Now there's only four of my cookies left.
Not only is he greedy and selfish but he also treats me like shit. He acts like a jerk all the time! He makes me scream the F word in my head all the time!! He's always yelling and scolding at me for stupid stuff! Like when I lie down on the sit-up machine thing, I, of course, face upwards, so my head's at where the feet's supposed to be hanging from and my feet's supposed to be at where the head is. Whenever my brother sees me with my feet at the head position, he screams at me! I am so not kidding! The jack-ass actually screamed once like this, "GRRRRAAHHH!"
Who does he think he is? The president? I'm sorry, but I think you're just being a stupid ass-hole!
LOL, "you're" as in my brother, not you, dear reader. Unless you are my brother, of course.
Ugh, fine, I admit that I still love him even if he is a jerk...
19th March 2013, 3.10 PM.
We're at MarryBrown's at the moment. I'm eating chicken balls and drinking ice lemon tea.
We had quite a time. Even though we left the outdoor theme park, we can enter it again later on 'cause my father bought the All Day ticket. Which is awesome 'cause I don't think we've ever had the All Day ticket before.
It isn't the school holidays for Malaysia so there wasn't the usual crowds. Though, it was easier to ride the rollercoasters, sadly, there weren't as many screams. So I decided to go on a mission: To be the loudest screamer ever! And guess what? I'm a screaming champion! The first ride we went on was Cyclone. Four can ride in one car and I guess it was a good ride. But it wasn't scary enough. I screamed anyway. I only scream when I'm scared so I screamed when the car went down the dips. Unfortunately, when it dipped down, it was only for a short moment. That's what I mean by "not scary enough". When it was over, I was like, That's it?!
The next ride we went on was for kids. It's called Astro Fighter and it was like aeroplanes going slowly around...and it was NOT my idea!!! It was my mom who wanted to go on it. She hardly rode on any of the rides (too scared) no matter how much we coaxed her. So the idea of flying slowly and gently around was welcoming to her. I was so embarrassed! But I rode with her anyway (along with my father and my brother).
After that, we went to the Bumper Boat. It was just like Bumper Cars except that they were boats and we did it on water. Of course, we had to put on those safety vests. My left hand was really worn out because to drive the boats, there were two handles. The left one, you had to sort of twist it 'round to start up the boat. The skin on my left hand felt really smooth and looked really red afterwards...
The next thing we did was kind of a waste of time. My brother, my father and I (my mom didn't join us) rode on the Pirate Train. It's just like a car that (is supposed to) go through a haunted house (or a pirate land or whatever). I remember going there when I was little and I was so scared because this paper stands would keep popping up. I wanted to see if they'd scare me this time. Was I scared, then? HELL, NO!!! It was so...stupid! I don't even know why they set that attraction up!! You know what was inside?!?! Nothing but darkness!! Not even scary noises, or horrifying lights or terrifying pop-ups, NO!!!! Seriously?! Are you freaking kidding me?!
After that disappointing ride, we went on the Pirate Ship. It's just your average Viking Ship and it used to scare the living daylights out of me when it reached its highest point. But ever since I rode Sunway Lagoon's 360-degrees Viking Ship, The Pirate's Revenge, the thrill had gone out of the Pirate Ship.
And after that, we wanted to ride the Flying Coaster but sadly, it was under maintenance. What's it like? Well, I don't know (yet), I've never ridden it before! The last time we went here, I hadn't reached the required height so I couldn't ride it and I didn't want to anyway, I was too scared. Anyways, since it was under maintenance, we went to the Rolling Thunder Mine Train 2. It's usually awesome and we often ride it 3 or 4 times. But not this time. For some reason, the thrill had gone out of it and we left it as soon as our first ride finished. My mom was surprised to see us out so quickly.
Afterwards, we went inside the Indoor Theme Park, and my father, as expected, asked about the 4D MotionMaster. And you guys obviously know what that is, right? Unfortunately, we'd missed the 11.30 show, the next one would be at 12.30 PM. So we decided to watch it later. After that, my father booked us a movie that we'll be watching later, at 5.45 PM. It's called "Jack, The Giant Slayer".
Right after booking the movie, we rode the indoor rollercoaster, the Euro Express. Fortunately, that roller coaster remained as awesome as it always was. There were no big dips but there were plenty of sharp bends! And that was what made me scream! We rode it twice and I wanted to ride it again but my family was tired of it.
After that, we went to the 4D MotionMaster to watch The Little Prince. It was an OK show for me and I liked it but my family thought otherwise. My mother fell asleep during the show, my father said it was boring, and my brother said it was annoying because it was like Dora the Explorer (LOL!). Whatever!
After exiting the 4D MotionMaster, we went back to the Flying Coaster. It was open!! However, there was a loooong line. Fortunately, it was moving quickly. How was the Flying Coaster like?, you ask again. It was...how should I say it?
AWESOMELY TERRIFYING!!!!!!! My gosh!! And you know what?! We weren't sitting down!! We were lying down!!! And it twisted over like a corkscrew (is that the right word?). I have seriously no idea what made me ride that. I mean, it was awesome but it was horrifyingly terrifying at the same time!! You really, really, really, really, really, really, REALLY, REALLY have to check it out!!!! Guess what? I screamed the loudest there too!! My mom said so!
Honestly, I think this whole time it was a scream fest. Anyways, after the awesome Flying Coaster ride, we went to the upper section of the Outdoors Theme Park. We wanted to ride the Corkscrew (I've never ridden that before because of the same reason I never rode the Flying Coaster till today) but unfortunately, it was closed for safety checks or something like that. Honestly! Ever since I reached the required height, that coaster is always under maintenance!! And I am not kidding! The last time we went here, it was under maintenance. And the visit before that? Ha! Nope. Nada. Zero. Zilch. >.> But there was a sign that said it would open at 2.15 PM. So we decided to come back later. Anyways, we heard screaming from this big blue building shaped like a house so we decided to check it out. I don't know the name of it and it's not on the map 'cause it definitely is new (it wasn't there last time). I'll try my best to describe it was like a round-a-'bout or a merry-go-round if you prefer. But what's with all the screaming? What's so scary about a merry-go-round. Well, this merry-go-round is different. Instead of childish ponies and horses (sorry to pony fans out there), there were seats that seated three people. A whole circle of them. And it wasn't a straight circle. It went up and down - like a tsunami's waves, as my father calls it. And it wasn't slow. Of course, it wasn't slow. It started out slow but it immediately went onto average speed and after a half a minute it was whizzing around!!! And that is why my brother, my father and I decided to ride it (CHALLENGE ACCEPTED)! Though, we gave it up after a second round because we got a slight headache. Afterwards, we went to a Hot & Roll outlet. Man, I LOVE Hot & Roll!! They are awesome!! They make the best, hot, rolled-up, crispy chocolate thosai ever!! I suggest you try them too! Unfortunately, there are zero Hot & Roll outlets in Singapore. So we usually have to get them from Malaysia. As a result, I rarely get to eat Hot & Roll scrumptious chocolate thosai. So I ate a chocolate thosai, my father and my brother shared a peanut and chocolate thosai, and my mother ate a chocolate and mint ice-cream.
My father tried to get me to ride the Space Shot but I refused. No way will I ever, EVER ride that!!! What exactly is the Space Shot? Well, it's this tall tower with seats at the bottom. You sit in the seats, of course. Then it goes up slowly...then suddenly it goes slightly faster and then you're stuck up there, for 10 quick seconds. After those seconds, you get the shock of your life. You zoom straight down, it looks like you're about to crash (!!) but then it shoots straight back up. Then it goes down again, and back up. This continues until you're on the ground.
That is why I refuse to ride the Space Shot. *Folds arms and pouts*
After eating our thosais and ice-cream, it was nearly 2.15 PM, so we returned to the Corkscrew. We were shocked to see the numbers wiped off the board. We hoped that nothing happened though and so, we waited. After minutes of long waiting, my father asked a man about the maintenance and guess what? The ride was closed for the whole day. I was like, Just great! -_-
Since the Corkscrew was closed, we went on the Spinner, which is right in front of the entrance. I wanted to go on it when we first entered but my father said that it would be better if we rode it later on with lots of people, instead of riding it ourselves alone (the theme park had just opened then, and nobody was heading towards the Spinner). So what is this Spinner? Well, it's like a merry-go-round 'cept that the seats are hanging down by chains. We get into them. When the Spinner starts up, the merry-go-round spins and us people in the seats are flung in a circle. It's so not scary. But, strangely, I felt dizzy after that. That has never happened to me before.
I must be getting old... TmT
19th March 2013, 8.39 PM.
Oh nooooo.
This day is nearly over. It's like, the day with the most fun this week.
Anyways, after riding the Spinner, we went to ride the Flying Dragon. We were shocked to see the station closed. I mean, permanently closed. But I remembered seeing the Flying Dragon yesterday, when we were at KFC (part of its track is indoors). Then I remembered noticing the people queued up above KFC. That's when I realised that the Flying Dragon had moved to the Indoors Theme Park. I told my parents that but they disbelieved me. They said that it was probably shut down so blah blih blah blah blah. Yeah, right. So why exactly did we see it running yesterday, huh? But of course, they didn't see my logic and refused to believe me. Then, we took the Star Walk back to the hotel. It was a good thing that we were able to see the Flying Dragon from there, otherwise we'd never have ridden it. My parents saw the Flying Dragon in action (it had, fortunately, come out from its indoors station 'cause the park management didn't change the tracks at all). They were all shocked and surprised. I rolled my eyes and said, "See, what did I tell you?!"
Why do people never believe me sometimes?!
Anyways, we went back to the hotel and prayed Zohor and Asar (but not before going back to the Famous Amos outlet to buy more cookies ). After that, my father fell asleep. We had to wake him up (we had a movie to watch, remember?). After resting, we headed out. Originally, we'd planned to ride the Flying Dragon first, and then watch the movie but by then, it was already too late to ride the Flying Dragon so we had to change our plans and watched the movie first. I must say that it's...so cool!!! Haha, bet you thought I was going to say "awesome", right? Well, I can't use the same word every time. >.> No, I'm not going to describe the movie, that'll be a huge spoiler. After the movie, it was already 7.30+ PM by then so we had to pray Maghrib first. Afterwards, we rode the Flying Dragon twice. It wasn't really scary. The only thrilling part was at the old station, when the tracks wound round and had sharp bends. But for the most part? It was awesome (fine, I used the word again...)!!! Know why? When it wasn't turning the bend sharply, it went smoothly in a straight line, not too fast, and we had a great view of the theme park. Since it was past 6.00 PM, the Outdoor Theme Park was closed and all was dark. OK, not really, the lights were on, but it was what we Malays call "sunyi". That means something like quiet and isolated. Which describes how the park looked like from the Flying Dragon perfectly. What made it all the better was that the air was chillingly cool. My sweater kept me warm (and I hated that) but my cheeks felt like blocks of ice. The view was so beautiful that we actually managed to convince my mom to join us on the second round. Guess what? She didn't look at the view. She was practically frozen with fear (though, what she was afraid of, I have no idea...OK, fine, she was scared out of her skin because of the sharp bends, but still...they weren't scary at all! Fine, maybe they were to my mom)! I was kind of disappointed but we were all happy anyway because she finally rode a rollercoaster with us! We actually clapped on the Flying Dragon (when we were nearing the end of the ride)! Afterwards, I wanted to ride on the Euro Express one last time but my mother firmly disagreed. However, I insisted on it and so, my father and I went on the Euro Express once again, with me having my private public scream-fest!
After that, we had dinner at McDonald's. I actually ordered for a plain McChicken twice for the first time!
Well, there's a first time for everything, as they say.
19th March 2013, 10.59 PM.
I'm going to sleep now. *Yawns* Good night, people.
*Snores* (and no, I don't believe I snore in my sleep)
WEDNESDAY
20th March 2013, 1.05 PM.
Ah, piss.
Hello, people. I'm sitting in one of the rooms of The Sunway Putra Legend hotel.
We had breakfast at McDonald's before checking out from First World. I had two pieces of Hotcakes (pancakes) with sausage (a sausage patty, not a sausage hotdog). I had no idea how to eat the sausage patty because patties are supposed to be eaten with slices of bread, right? Right. So I had the brilliant idea of putting my sausage patty between my butter-coated Hotcakes (I don't eat syrup, I eat pancakes with butter instead). Let's just say that it was deliciously scrumptious. :3
When we checked out, there was no waiting whatsoever, oh no no no. We simply slipped the card in the Check-Out Kiosk machine. Nice and easy!
20th March 2013, 1.28 PM.
I'm eating Milo Nuggets now. My father is playing Pool Player Pro or something like that. My mom is reading a magazine. My brother is using the iPad...
Y'know they have Wifi here, at the hotel. But you have to pay for it. It ain't cheap. But because we have always been coming here all this years, we got free wifi - complementary!! Unfortunately...my father is afraid that it might clash with my mom's 3G and we may have to pay for it when we get back home or even worse - we might have bills without even knowing. So I couldn't go to my Dream Journal on my mom's phone unless we took out her SIM card. My mom refused to allow me to take it out, though, so...yeah.
20th March 2013, 7.32 PM.
I wrote an entry on Bloop!! But not with these entries yet. Oh no. I am saving these for Saturday!! Yeah, baby!
We went to Cold Storage just now at The Mall (they actually renamed that to Sunway Putri Mall too... -_-).
Anyways, my brother and I had Pepperoni pizzas for dinner, freshly baked from Pizza Hut and my parents had McDonald take-aways (what's up with that??).
FRIDAY
22nd March 2013, 1.43 PM.
Yep, it's the last day. I know, I haven't been writing much lately but I've lost the spirit to do it ever since I found that I could have access to Bloop from The Legend. Well, I don't think we'll be coming here a lot for the next two years since The Mole-I mean, The Mall (LOL) will be closed for the next two years to be renovated (D: ).
Anyways, we're at a department store called "Parkson"."
Yes, I know, quite an abrupt ending but...whatever!!
*Tips hat* See ya! *Runs away but not before sticking out tongue cheekily*
Hope you had a great holiday week, everyone!
