I, Defiant Verses's Diary
by I, Defiant Verses

Played to "Eric B & Rakim - I know you got soul"

03/13/2009

It's been a long time, I shouldn't have left you
without some way to connect to;
Remember how many cell numbers I went through?
All lost, sorry I lost you.

Thinking of this, my world wide thesis;
my voice in the void of pretentiousness;
my world wide radio broadcasting my thoughts to
people's def ears and the many a mad shrew.

Listen to me now while I let it go,
better read up cause it's gonna show:
my four letter word, the word of know
my life defends it (you got it) soul.

Enslaved by the church like a world inert
break now free, even though it'll hurt.
What I am saying is, you can't get stuck wit
the lies, the fabels, the dogmatic bullshit.

It's a gift to think, express it, there you go;
your mind is it's own master (bright) now let it glow
it can be done, we all can do it;
you just got to be brave and apply yourself to it.

Have this a think before it winks
into the void, like it was stink:
when you feel alone looking up at the skies,
see the truth when you look through your eyes,
you're already whole.
