they did what?! Celeb News & Gossip  Gayle King caught up with Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer backstage at Sunday's Oscars.
Mayer, 31, told King that he grew up watching her as a local news anchor in their native Connecticut.
It's always good when someone says they grew up watching you, King says.
"He said that to me too," Aniston, 40, then joked.
Can I say it's good to see you two out together publicly, King added.
"Sure, yeah!" Aniston replied.
"This is the first time I've ever walked a red carpet with someone," he said.
"I think that's big. Are you both happy?" King asked.
Said Aniston, "Very happy."
After the show Sunday, the two hit the Vanity Fair Oscar party, sneaking in several smooches throughout the night.
