When it comes to the future of our nation, Brad Pitt really wants to help President Barack Obama "make it right."
The New York Daily News reports that the actor met with our country's leader today to say a quick hello during his visit to the White House.
According to Washington insiders, Pitt's been lobbying his way throughout D.C. - with Stephen Bing (Elizabeth Hurley's billionaire baby daddy), former Bill Clinton staffer Chad Griffin and philanthropist (and occasional Angelina Jolie rep) Trevor Nielson in tow.
The crew met with various politicians and other bigwigs - including Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid - to talk about two of Pitt's pet projects, the New Orleans Make It Right foundation and environmentally conscious building.
Apparently Pitt has no hard feelings about being turned down to help with Obama's presidential campaign in 2007. At that point in time, the candidate's advisers felt Pitt was "a great guy," but they didn't want Obama to appear to be "too Hollywood." So much for that!
While Pitt takes care of politics, his partner, Angelina Jolie, is currently bringing home the bacon by filming the upcoming thriller "Salt," in our nation's capital.
