I haven't written in here in a long while, LOL. Isn't that terrible?! I'm so spurty about writing in these types of things. I'll be really good at it for a while, then I get out of it for a while.
Anyways, I'm up at my mom's. I came here last Friday, and there planning to take me back home on Saturday.
I wanted to spend mother's day with mom seeing I'll probably be living in Florida this time next year.
We found out from a good friend that we can more than likely stay with him if our apartments aren't available by the time we need to be moved. We may, not sure, but we may have to be moved out of the house in 6 months. We should know soon on the status of that all.
I'll tell about what we've done.
I got here Friday afternoon. We got here around 3. Usually we don't do much when we return from that trip, as they live about 3 hours from me, so it's a 6 hour drive for them round trip.
Last weekend they had mushroom festival here. They have it annually in early May in Mesick.
They of course sell mushrooms, and they were going for $50 a pound this year! Dad gets them himself; he doesn't buy them at that. He loves to look for those mushrooms. It's like a project for him.
They have a carnival that comes for the festival as well. My brother use to work for that carnival, so my brother's 3 boys get to ride all of the rides for free when they come to town. There 14, 11, and 8. They had a ball at the festival!
They also have a flee market at it. It was the rainiest nastiest weekend except for Sunday. Mom dad and I went to the flee market and looked around, but a lot of things were covered up. Only the things in the tents were still there. Mom and I shared the yummiest elephant ear! We got it with apple on it! It was too good! It wasn't cheap though; it was $6. It was pretty big, that's why we shared it. With the apple stuff on it it was messy too, LOL.
We didn't get anything that day at the flee market. We did get pizza that night for dinner, though.
Then Saturday mom had an open house for a home she's trying to sell. Mom is a real estate agent. She was holding it from 1 to 4 and left a bit early, because she didn't get a single person to come to see it.
We didn't go anywhere that evening. We were going to, but it rained Saturday so we decided to go to the flee market on Sunday.
It got so cold last weekend that it even snowed a bit Friday night and part of Saturday. Can you believe that, Snow in darn May?! Well my parents live about 3 hours north west of us so it does do that more here than where I live. It stays colder here longer, and they live close to lake Michigan thus they tend to get lake effect stuff in the winter and stuff.
I took mom and dad out for breakfast for mother's day. It was a local family restaurant that I'd never been too. It was good! The place is called Jerry's. It's a local family restaurant in Mesick. I had a cinnamon roll that I could not finish and a cheese omelet. It was quite good!
We went to the flee market after breakfast. I got a leather purse and a glassware set of 3 different sized pans for my room mate Greg. He can use them in the microwave and in the oven as well as on the stove. He is not much of a stove cooker, so he had wanted the glassware stuff. This way when we're moved he'll have some pans for his apartment. He wouldn't have used my stainless ones anyways, as he is not much of a stove cooker. So these should be good for him. My mom got me some of that glassware cookware when I first moved out on my own. Of course I don't have them anymore. She got me little ones though, Greg does have a fairly large sauce pan in his. I hope he likes them.
After we walked around the flee market and got a few things, we went to another flee market in another town about 20 miles away. That had nothing we wanted though.
Then we went to a few yard sails. Mom and I didn't get anything at those, but my step dad got some stuff at 1 of them.
Sunday evening we went to Wal-Mart and I bought some clothes. Mom is good at helping pick out clothes. When we move I'll miss that among other things I'll miss about my mom!
We got subway on the way back.
So we had a full and happy mom's day. It was nice, and my mom enjoyed it a lot,and that's the most important thing. All of my sisters called her,and my brother and sister-in-law live near buy, so they stopped buy for a bit in the afternoon to see her. They bought mom some wind chimes for mother's day. I got her some chocolates but I left them at home, so she'll get them when they take me home Saturday. I bought them from a company called Swiss Colony. It was such a busy day it' just flew buy!
Yesterday we went into Cadillac to take my computer in to be fixed, and we also went to this store called Meijre'S and I got a few more outfits. I was in extreme need for more summer Clothes. I lost a lot of weight in the last year, and also I hadn't gotten any summer clothing for a few years. So It was certainly time.
My computer was a Del. It's 7 years old, thus after discussing it with mom I decided to purchase an new one. I was going to purchase it from the guy that fixes our computer's but my brother thought we should check out best buy's prices, and it's a lot cheaper to get basically the same thing through them. It'd have a warranty with them too. I feel bad because we told the other people I'd get that 1 from them, but like my mom said, how could I have known. I still feel bad though.
My step dad has a friend up here visiting. He's an old family friend. He's worked with my dad when he worked at general motors. His name is Jeff. He came up here yesterday so they can turkey hunt.
Well this morning they went off to hunt, and on there way one of the tires came off of the truck! glad they didn't get hurt! Well, they of course had to take it into the car shop. There going to begin working on it tomorrow. Not sure if they'll get it back tomorrow or not.
Mom found a used car to buy. It's a jeep. They went to look at it tonight. This way they'll both have a vehicle. She's been wanting to get a new 1 for a while. Not due to what happened to the truck, she's been looking for a car for a while now.
So tomorrow she'll get that jeep, and then we're planning on going into traverse city to best buy and to the secretary of state for her to get what she needs for her car.
The boys are going out early to hunt in Jeff's truck, then they'll come home to take her to get that car. there getting up at like 4:30! Too early for me. I'll hopefully be snug as a bug in a rug sleeping in my bed at that time, LOL!
