Quick Synopsis:

Every year an old Industrialist by the name Vanger receives a parcel postmarked from different points in the world on his birthday. Until she disappeared about 40 years ago, a disappearance that was never solved and plagues the old man mercilessly.

Mikael Blomkvist, financial reporter and partner of a magazine called Millenium, finds himself on the brink of ruin when he is convicted of libel and sentenced to spend 2 months in prison. He is forced to resign as editor of the magazine he helped build. He is commissioned by old man Vanger to help him find out what happened to his long lost niece.

With the help of a very young, yet strange, girl he unravels the mystery. But is he looking for a missing person or a serial killer?

My Review:

I fell in love with this story. The storyline was flawless and kept my attention perfectly focused on it. It was a book I couldn't put down! It takes place in Sweden so a lot of towns and streets has Swedish names. I love mysteries that I can't unravel too early in the story. In this case, I couldn't unravel it at all!

ugh the movie was alright but I had problems with a lot of things. They strayed away from the story a bit too much for my liking but the book was awesome!
