Genre: Christian Fiction
Notes: At first I was NOT going to use this book since it is a Christian Fiction but that is also why I did choose it.
Parts of Book Description: Holden Harris, 18, is locked in a prison of autism where he's been since he was a happy, boisterous three-year-old.Ella Reynolds is the head cheerleader and star of the high school drama production is rehearsing when Holden stops and listens, clearly drawn to the music. Ella Reynolds notices and takes an interest in him, learning about autism and eventually helping Holden. Not until a tragedy takes place at the high school does Ella take a public stand against the way the more popular privileged kids treat those who are different.
My view: This book has it all I laughed with them and I shed tears but most of all I could relate to things happening in the book which was surprising with the topic of the book. Now in no way am I a Christian but with this book even tho God is talked about it is not the main topic which is nice. While reading I had to admit I was a bully back in the day but I was also the victim hence why I could relate so easy. The main message I got out of this book tho was to never give up even when everyone around you says there is no point push on. Another message through out the book is to stand up. What I mean buy that is Ella pushes for many things and does not listen to others she stands up to teachers, bullies and the rest of the school to do what she feels is right.
