I am sick and tired of my parents being at each other's throats. It isn't good for them and it sure as hell isn't good for me. I know that my mom not having her job is killing her, she feels that her purpose in life is now gone. And no matter how much anyone tells her it isn't she won't listen. But every time you try to convince her she should pick up a new hobby or see a friend she won't do it. She keeps herself in the house. She uses the excuse that the price of gas is too expensive and that her car doesn't get great gas mileage. Well I'm sorry but you doing something once a week isn't that expensive. She just doesn't want to leave. Both of my parents are depressed about their jobs, though neither one of them will admit that they are. My step-dad retired early because his job couldn't keep in from being laid off. Then when my mom lost hers it just went downhill. Moving back put a stress on them and I didn't want that, but it was best for all of us in the long wrong. Now I didn't mean to end up jobless myself 4 months later; sadly life gives you what it wants, not the other way around. The tension between the two of them is so thick that you can't cut it with a knife. My mom gets so annoyed with my dad for not doing something because she wishes she could do it. So she thinks that we are just being lazy because we aren't doing something when she wants to be but can't. This probably is just coming off as a bunch of whiny babbling.
