Ok, so I took my ass to the Drs this morning and handed him the test with the line. Before I could explain everything he handed it back..
Dr: *hands me the test* It's definately positive.
Me: Umm, see I'm really confused because it came up after 5 minutes but before 10. I did 2 other tests, one late last night and one this morning and they were both negative. This one I did 4pm yesterday.
Dr: I'm reading this one and I'm telling you it's positive. BUT give it a few more days. Come in on Friday and I'll give you a blood test.
Me: Could it be an evaporation line? Because isn't the rule after a certain amount of time, if a line comes up you're not pregnant?
Dr: No, a line is a line. Could be 15 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hours later.. when a line shows up and darkens like this it's definately positive.
Me: But the other two tests...
Dr: Like I said, give it a few more days and come in for a blood test. In the mean time, take it really easy ok?
I can't fucking believe this! My Dr now has my hopes up and I'm so convinced that I'm NOT pregnant. Grrrr. My husband still thinks that I am. I asked him what makes this test different to the others that have had lines on them to which he replied "The fact that the line over time is alot darker and the fact that it appeared alot quicker".
I guess this means I won't know for sure for about another week. The tests he bought me last night weren't the early ones. They were the ones that detect a higher amount of HCG. I look at them now and I can see faint lines on them both but I'm pretty sure that these ones are in fact evap lines. If I took photos of them, they wouldn't come up on the camera. That's how faint they are.
Anyway, I'll know for sure WTF is going on a week from today so I'll def keep posted
