Wishing the best for my Nephew (Part 1)

10/13/2010

Today, it's my nephew's 2nd birthday and this makes me feel sad Why? Because I can't call him due to the fact that I have disowned my little brother and his bitch of a girlfriend.

Happy Birthday lil one!

I can't stand those two. I really can't. I honestly can't remember a single time I have called them just to chat or whatever and it hasn't turned into an arguement. The way they treat their son for example...
Ok, so the both of them work (at Mcdonalds) and not only do they work there, they basically live there. "we're providing for our sons future" this is a fair point but also a complete lie because I am already aware of the fact that they don't save money. They instead go out and buy expensive appliances and furniture and gadgets. Oh, the list goes on so I'm just gonna cut it off there.

They actually earn pretty good money at maccas but only because like I said before... they live there. This is what I think is the problem. When my mum was living in the same town, she had to babysit him all day everyday and those few times that they had days off, they wanted to go out and do some grocery shopping so they dropped him off on her doorstep to do so. The story gets worse...

When the little one was first born, there were complications so they had to fly her out of town to the nearest city (which in a car is about an 8 hour drive) The little one had to stay in hospital for a couple of weeks..so he did...on his own...without his parents there! Why? Because my brother (who at the time was working somewhere else) had to go back to work and wherever he goes, she goes. She didn't want to be away from my brother so she left their son all on his own in a hospital hours and hours away. I'm still so mad about that. Grrrr

So anyway. When she eventually went and got him and brought him back home, they decided that they wanted to go on a road trip to see her family in another town about 5 hours away. Their son? Stayed with my mother. Why? Because it would be too difficult to feed the little man in the car. W.T.F?!?!?!?!?!

On top of that, she treated him badly. Wrapping him up tightly in blankets on 45 degree weather heat. (113 Fahrenheit)... Holding her hand over his mouth and forcing him not to move everytime he cried. OMFG he was only a new born! ARGH! This still makes me so, so mad!

(To Be Continued....)

That is ridiculous! My daughter was also flown to a hospital hours away at birth - her father refused to fly with her and since I had a csection I couldn't...but as soon as I could, I was by her side for four months in that hospital.

my sister is very similar. i cant remember a time when i rang her (as she wouldnt lower herself to call me) and it didnt ensue an argument. it makes me so sad because i raised her kids for her. i took her in when she abused me and used me and then came home from canada dead broke and pregnant with twins. i took her in and worked 2 jobs so she could stay home and grow babies. and then i was in the delivery room and helped them into the world.....and then i worked 3 jobs to support all of us (and so she could go back to school which i paid for) and after 5 years it wasnt enough. i cant even talk to the twins on the phone. she wont allow it. she even throws the gifts i buy them for bdays and xmas in the bin.

That's got to be the worst thing I've ever heard of. I know our children's hospital offers housing for people to stay for situations like that. (It's like the #3 children's hospital in the country, so lots of little ones go there.) they even have funding and sponsors to help pay your rent and things at home while you're missing work and staying there for your baby.

That's just...cold and heartless. I'd give up anything to stay with my baby while they were in the hospital. And I sure as shit wouldn't be leaving them anytime soon after that, not for more than a few hours or to go to work
