I recently invested in an espresso machine for my home. It is nothing fancy but it does get the job done. However, I have caught myself being obsessed with looking up recipes and techniques on how to make coffeehouse style drinks with my espresso machine. This is coming from someone who doesn't like to drink her regular coffee BLACK...or bitter or any way. Haha. I guess the short time I worked at the Butterfly Koffee Klatch last year affected me more than I thought.
Speaking of B2K (what I called the coffee shop), I walked there today since I had the day off of work (to get some ground coffee and maybe a few flavored syrups-based upon price). I rarely get more than one day off a week. My day off is Sunday normally. I was expecting it to be open for business but they were closed for some reason. It is about a 30 minute walk there. That irked me a little bit but I got over it. I decided to walk further and go to MSSU instead. Yeah...that plan didn't work out either. That's okay. I was walking home when J-Will (his nickname) saw me and gave me a ride the rest of the way home. I was grateful because my feet were beginning to hurt quite a bit. Especially my pinky toe on my right foot. Let's just say that the skin is rubbed off of it in one small area. Enough said. I didn't expect to be walking for almost 2 hours straight...so I wore my boots. That was not a smart move. I normally am more prepared than that. However, I was prepared to doctor my toe up. I have a very small first aid kit in my purse. Haha, I should have been a girl scout.
I have to go back to work tomorrow but it is only to my housekeeping job. No biggie. Maybe someone will show up to Women's Ministry tomorrow night. Maybe not. Only time will tell what the outcome to that will be. I'm not holding my breath either way.
My friend Lydia is supposed to be calling back when she returns home from choir practice tonight. I'm so excited to be able to talk to her. Well, I don't know what else to type right now. I need to go eat before my stomach declares nuclear war on itself. The last time I ate today was breakfast. Hmmm...I'm leaving now. My stomach is being a cheeky beggar!--Robyn
P.S.--My grandparents will have been married for 54 years as of this upcoming Saturday (the 24th). |
