Baking Diva Nerds

12/21/2012

I am a baking diva!!! In the past 4 days, I have baked sugar cookies, chocolate chip cookies, snickerdoodle cookies, and banana nut bread. Today, I will be baking 2 types of scones: plain and apple ones. All this baking is for personal eating, christmas gifts, and a christmas tea/etc on Saturday. I feel like a baking diva! Haha.

So, here is 2 entries in the same amount of days. I am actually typing on my phone though so don't expect a novel today. Haha. As if you all ever expect that from my entries.

So, what have all of you been up to lately? I need to make a card for a client. It should have already been done, but alas, the procrastinating bug has struck again. At least I am pre-notified of its return...unlike the supposed bloop bug going around.

My client just claimed to be nuttier than a fruitcake. I just told her that everyone was that way...in their own way. Haha. I don't know if that is technically correct, but it was a good way to joke with her. She is as ornery as me, so life is never dull in this house.

My brother and sister in law have to take my niece to the doctor today to get the rest of the cardboard pieces out of her nose. She stuck a piece of Nerds candy AND the box up her nose. Her dad has pulled out 2 big pieces already, but Audri is saying she cannot breathe well. This doctor visit is a precautionary measure. Her allergies could be the reason she cannot breathe well.. She will be 3 years old next month. Happy hunting, Audriannah's doctor. Haha.
Her half brother is 5 years old today. Happy birthday, Taylen. I realize that it is unlikely I will ever meet you, but I love you as if I see you everyday.

Well, I'm off to visit with the Mad Hatter some more. Everyone have a great day.-Robyn

Haha - a friend of mine did something similar when I was working in Sainsbury's. When my back was turned, she put on a very posh accent and said in a snooty voice 'I'd like some wild grouse please.' And so I was totally anticipating explaining to this customer that we don't sell wild grouse and that she'd have to go to some extremely posh specialty shop, and I was expecting the usual horrified, patronising response of the spoilt posh customers, but turned round and saw my friend with a big grin on her face!
