Again, I can't stay on long. I need to run some errands then go to work (across town at my usual store). I'm waiting on the dryer to stop running so I'll have clean work clothes. That is why I'm on here. I get on the day (before work) while Kassey is at work...and she does just the opposite. I think it's a grand arrangement.
I couldn't sleep after work last night...until about 5:30am. It was not fun. I was productive during that time of insomnia though. I planned out today and the next 3 days. Of course, something will go wrong with them each day but I can be spontaneous and work around it. Haha. Heck, I didn't get up when I told myself to do so today. Imagine that.
I'll be glad to get back to my store today. I say that because I am completely in my comfort zone there. The store I've been at the last 2 days, wasn't fun at all. We were swamped both days. Last night, there were only 2 closers...me and Dawn. Both of us are not original to that store. We are both from the same store. Whoever did that schedule did not think that situation out very well. To top it off, we have a new broiler (VS. the ancient one, haha) and it is new to everyone...including us. It wasn't put back together completely last night, to say the least.
I thought I would live up to my reputation of "cutting" people (at my store) at this other store last night. A customer came through the drive-thru. They literally took between 7-8 minutes to BEGIN TO ORDER their food. Then, they mentioned they had 2 orders. I was beyond annoyed with them during this time. It had been a busy night on an evil drive-thru system. Don't get me started in on their drive-thru system. Haha. THEN, it took awhile to get their food out (unavoidable). To back up some though, when they got to the window, their first order total was $4.31. I literally received one $1.00 bill and CHANGE (in nickel, dime, and penny form). I had the overwhelming urge to whip out my pocketknife and literally stab them right between their eyes!!! That is how "annoyed" I was at them. Thankfully for everyone involved, I have better self-control than that. Haha.
The night before, their automatic drive-thru window tried to eat my fingers...literally. I was handing something out the window and it tried to close on me. At my store, the window is MANUAL, not automatic. I prefer the manual window. Call me weird, but some technology is useless. Haha. Can you tell I'm ready to go back to my store??? The only thing I'm dreading is the drive across town. I haven't driven since Tuesday...when I arrived at Kassey's house. I walked to work and saved gas in the meantime.
Well, with all that being said, I'm going to have to vamoose! Talk to you later.--Robyn
P.S.--I called my grandpa to say happy birthday a few days ago. Lydia's and Shilo's (my cousin, Kassey--haha) call is going out in a few days. |
