On my way to my little sister's house, I had a random and unexpected SBDP sighting. It took me a millisecond to realize who I was actually seeing then I realized the person was running later than usual regarding his/her job. Don't you love all my vagueness regarding this situation? Haha. Well, get over it if it bothers you. 
I haven't been up to much lately. Work, work, work...as usual. I did bake 30 german chocolate cupcakes today (with homemade buttercream icing). I don't think I got the icing quite right but it tastes good all the same. I also cooked a full meal for dinner tonight for my client. We are usually working with leftovers in a creative manner or icky frozen food. I am not a fan of many processed frozen meals, in general. She has a freezer full of them though and they have to be used. The same goes for the contents of her pantry. The other caregiver and myself have to be careful with expiration dates on her pantry food however. She is a hoarder who has dementia, enough said.
I have been reading a lot of books lately. It is nothing spectacular enough for me to want to rave about, but I have enjoyed them still. I miss having a library right down the road from me and the free time to peruse through the stacks. Just the smell of books make me happy, however weird that may make me sound. The same goes for looking at old photos. There is such a sense of history in each situation. The history of oral storytelling is present in photos as well, but sometimes you have to use your imagination to unlock the stories. Books stretch one's imagination as well. If you have someone present to explain the story behind a photo, you can learn much about others through the stories. One just has to listen. The same goes for books...the characters in them and the mental picture the words portray help you to get to know the characters as REAL people, even if it is your sense of reality in the moment. These are just a few reasons I love photos and books. I know I am being random, by the way.
My client has been asleep in her bed for over an hour now. I think I am going to go relax and try to finish my book from earlier. Everyone have a great night.
