I'm sitting at my desk with the sunlight streaming into the room through a window next to my desk (drinking my coffee and avoiding doing anything productive before getting ready for church). Sorry for the run-on sentence. I tried to avoid it. Haha.
I just jumped a mile high because one of my daily alarms went off on my phone. The phone is right beside me. It startled me for a mere second. Haha.
It is so nice seeing green outside on the ground. For those people who do not live in the area I do, it snowed all day yesterday. That would be the day I forget my housekeys and are locked out of my house most of the night. I normally ask my landlords for a copy of my key and keep it long enough to unlock my door. Well, they were out of town until later last night. I ended up keeping company with a group of my friends. We watched 7 Lbs. (movie with Will Smith and Rosario Dawson). It was a good movie. The most amusing part of that night was when one of the guys in the group fell asleep and started snoring (at intervals). All of us had a good chuckle out of his snoring spurts.
Another amusing incident that night was when Sterling and Becca came to pick up Sterling's lock picking kit (Ben had it and was TRYING to pick my lock...to no avail). Well, I guess that Sterling and Becca went over to my house and tried to pick the lock themselves and were able to get into my house. The funny part of it all is...I had gotten a call from my landlords earlier and they had unlocked my door for me. So, Sterling was essentially trying to pick open an unlocked door. Haha. Fun times, fun times...
Sterling and Ben were not the only ones who tried to pick my lock. Dustin tried as well (my boss' husband). Dustin also tried to pop my window screen out and open my window...to get to my lock (to no avail also). Let's just say that my house is not susceptible to easy breaking in and entering. Haha. I was more than willing to go bum around at a friend's house/a warm place until my landlords got into town. That was my plan. I didn't ask for everyone to try to break into my house. Haha. I did appreciate their help though. It was nice to be able to hang out with friends...I don't get to do that alot with my work hours.
Speaking of work, I almost didn't have to go into work yesterday. I was called before I had to report in that day & told not to come in. About an hour later, that offer was taken away by the same person. It was cold, windy, and snowing when I walked to work (looking like the abombidable snowman, haha). Then, I was told to go home just under 2 hours later after arriving. Otherwise, the whole ordeal with my house could have been fixed easier. My landlords would have been back into town when I would have originally gotten off of work. Haha. Oh...the ironies of life.
Well, I need to hurry and get ready for church now. I also have to finish my coffee. Talk to you later.--Robyn |
