you're hot then you're cold...

01/29/2010

So...how have you all been? This "stranger" has been up to next to nothing...in general.

I've been sketching ideas for card designs like crazy lately. My business sketch book is getting filled up. I actually have 2 physical examples of cards as well. The reason I have those is a due to a total fluke. Let's just say that 2 of my cards didn't get mailed out (in June) by one of my managers. She put it with the other mail at my workplace at my request but it fell underneath the work safe. It was recently found. The cards were for my friend Kristina and her son (his birthday card...I cannot use it next year, trust me & one for her-just because).

I haven't been working as much lately due to my hours being cut way too much. I have been sleeping a lot lately though. Haha, just call me a lazy bum. Today I haven't been a bum however. I have worked already, am working on 2 weeks worth of laundry, did my dishes, and took out my trash. I have been sketching card ideas as well. I will be preparing for my business party on Feb. 11th tonight as well.

Snow is forecasted for tonight and tomorrow. We are talking from 24 degrees to 7 degrees in difference. I hate winter weather. That is why I've been doing laundry all day long. Most of it is left over from the last winter weather we received. Let's just say that the washer froze up and/or I had no time to do laundry. I could have done it the last 4 days I had off of work but I couldn't get my lazy back (or butt) out of bed. Haha. I think I needed the sleep.

I have been attending a Bible study that centers around jobs and God. The first week (we are going into the 3rd week as of Monday), the bible verse was Colossians 3:23-24. I think that is one of the most inspiring verses I have heard in awhile. I'll be honest, I'm not very faithful at reading my bible. It's not good but that is the truth.

My grandparents had their 55th anniversary on January 22nd. I called them individually and wished them a happy anniversary. I meant to make them a card but I didn't get it done. I did get a good idea for an anniversary card that could work for any couple however. They inspire me in more ways that one, apparently. Haha.

My brother and his wife (more his wife, haha) had a little girl on January 11th. I have a new niece (Audriannah Nicole). If you are my friend on facebook, I'm sure you saw the picture of her and have heard all about it by now. I was a "wee" bit loud and proud about it. Haha. She is a precious little chunky princess!

My sister's sons are going through health issues. David has a cyst on his kidney. That's nothing compared to his hospital visit due to hallucinations (103 temperature, low white blood cell count, dehydration, urinary tract/kidney infection). His older brother, Robert, was in the hospital recently due to having an epilectic seizure. Robert is now on the same medication (same dosage even) as his mother. Keri has had seizures all her life. Now she is having to worry about Robert getting them. I guess the medication can cause depression in children so she has to worry about that as well. I've been trying to keep in contact with her better than usual. It helps her keep her mind off of it and give her someone to talk to. Plus, I seriously want to know how my nephews are doing. I guess her daughter is relatively healthy. That's a blessing.

Well, I'm going to go. Talk to you later...whenever that may be.--Robyn
