So, with all the computer issues it's about time something went right. Old Vista desktop is running. New install of Vista. New Box. New Memory, New processor. Old Hard drive. Old data.
Lost a lot of free deal of the day software, but I didn't use much of it regularly, so it's not so bad. There are some things I'm upset about, but at least I have documents and pictures and music. All good for the desktop. The old laptop... well, it's going to be a problem, but ideas have been tossed around, and we'll see how these pan out.
In any case, I do have a brand-spankin'-new laptop upon which work can be done, and that's even more important than getting old documents and whatnot off of the desktop, right? Well, no, but it's at least as important. Here's hoping it'll last a few years.
With that, the chapter on disaster is now at rest.
