To think that I actually ended year 2008 being sick. Fever, bloated stomach and what not.
What a good way to end the year indeed.
2008 has been a blast. Let's see what I've done in this year.
Jan:
1) Celebrated boyfriend's birthday for the first time. Mentally tiring as I'm never good at planning. Brought him to a park and got him a shirt and some handmade gifts as presents. But I think it's still not too bad considering it as the first birthday celebration ever.
2) SAG Annual Performance was next. And I'm glad I was able to "cry" during my acting scenes. Had good responses being the blind girl. keke. Our efforts didn't went down the drain. It has been a really rewarding process. Thank you my friends for making the trip down.
And it was the last performance for me before I flew to China.
3) And then I was met with Grandma's death. Sometimes I wonder why god take her away. But her death somehow bonds the family together. Maybe it's something Grandma wanted?
Feb
1) It was Chinese New Year and I had great fun dolling up and stuff. But looking back at those pictures, I think my hairstyle is kinda ugly. ROFL.
Boyfriend came over to my house during CNY for the first time and vice-versa. Heh.
2) V day celebration. It was pretty good. We had neoprints taken and Dearie took the pain to do something special for me. It was a handmade cinema with our photos on the screen. Eventhough it's isn't really very durable, I still think it's cute!
He's my sweetie pie!
3) Internship. It was shopping for the interviews, preparing for the interviews, checking out the directory (since I'm an idiot in it). And then I find myself landing in Singapore's biggest media company - Singapore Press Holdings.
I was to be a fashion, food and health reporter for a semester.
And it was tiring since I'm always on the run. When I'm not, I'd be stuck at my desk writing articles. @.@
Gotten plenty of my articles published in the newspaper and had many photoshoots as well.
Those were the days.
I made new friends which are never meant to be kept in the end.
4) Half of our class went to China for study immersion first. It was farewell for them and sending them off at the airport.
March/April:
1) I wonder why I had the patience. But I tried baking some cookies and did some jellies too. It was fun!
2)Dearie got me an early birthday gift: A gregory bag! I love it alot. I even brought this bag along for this china trip!
3) My birthday was a blast. The girlfriends celebrated with me. And they got me some dresses secretly without me knowing during the celebration. Aww.
4) My birthday was boyfriend and me's first year anni. And I did a cross stitch for him. We celebrated at Changi Airport, finishing up the huge serving of seafood platter. Besides the bag, dearie got me a "mr bean" keychain with our all time favourite emoticon. >.O And then we went home and celebrated with my family. I had nice cakes!
5) Then I went off for a Kukup trip with Dearie and his friends. It was fun just chilling around, doing nothing! But I had an ugly tan in the end.
May/June:
1) It was a pretty good Mother's Day Celebration. Father actually bought roses for mummy! So sweet. And we had nice cakes again. lol.
2) Went to JB with my girlfriends! It's fun travelling all by ourselves! But we were all like kids though.
3) Father's Day celebration! I love my daddy! He's always great! Teehee. We had cakes again. HAHA.
4) Had the chance to do Gymming once every week with Carmen. It was nice sweating out. I was trying to shed some kilos back then.
September to December:
1) Lots of farewell dinners for me and meeting up. And then I landed myself in China. It was a tough goodbye for me. I remembered I shed a bucket of tears before leaving.
2) During this China Trip, I made new friends and at the same broke some friendships. I dono, but it doesn't hurt me not having those as friends.
I cried, I struggled, and I survived these few months.
I laugh madly, had fun with my new clique, shop like crazy and lead a luxurious life here.
I met rude people and turned nasty sometimes.
I became skinnier and those old jeans couldn't be worn.
I managed to cross the roads here. (With the help of my friends) LOL.
I went through summer, autumn and now winter. I think I'm great! During summer, the temperature can be as high as 38 degree and during winter, it can be as low as -3 degree! Madness.
I did volunteery work at the special school and they really warmth my heart.
I performed together with my class.
I had drinking sessions everynow and then. But I was never once drunk, only close to it sometimes.
Sometimes I miss Singapore. Sometimes I loathe being here. And sometimes it's simply the other way round.
Living in the international hostel is like a dream. I see the blacks, the whites, the koreans etc everyday. Kinda cool to be studying oversea!
Life in China is simply at its slowest pace. I wish I had known these friends earlier. We clicked so well.
And I'm going back to Singapore in a few weeks time.
So that's my 2008.
And now .. for the upcoming 2009..
I hope for
1) Quality and quantity time spent with my honey.
2) Good health for my whole family.
3) Good job with regular working hours and good pay.
4) University? Don't really harp much on it.
5) Old friends are still there for me.
That's all I guess?
May 2009 brings luck to me and you!
