#1 reason to work out: You can carry a keg.

My dad and I have been texting non-stop about the latest "crossfit open" workout.

"as many reps as possible for 12 min."
150 wallballs (MEN: 20lbs, 10 foot target.... WOMEN: 14lbs, 9 ft target).
90 double-unders (jump-rope, but the rope goes under your feet twice before you land).
30 muscle ups. (google this if you don't know how impossible they are).

the 150 wallball is the main killer.... My dad ended up doing something like 75 wallballs in 12 min?
My brother did 53.

I did 150 + 254 single-jump-ropes. (doesn't count for the "open" but then I did 100 situps afterwards as my "cool down"......because I'm fucking insane.) It's sunday and I STILL can't use my legs.

Then on Saturday while I was getting the keg for a party (reason #1 why I work out: Because now I can carry a keg and do a keg/hand-stand with little-to-no-effort) my dad texted me about showing off burpees for these kids.

He did 20 without stopping, while HS kids had to stop after 10. He made the comment that phys-ed in schools these days are redunk. I agreed.

stuff.
blah blah blah.
Dad: "Being a certified trainer gives you magic muscles"
LN: "1000$ for magic? that seems like a small price to pay."
Dad: "I'll pay for your training if you want to find out!"


So my dad and I are going to get certified. Unsure where-- maybe portland, maybe columbus, maybe here in seattle.

Either which way, I'm really excited.

so if you do this, but have one hand above your head holding a weight. (kai/gallon of milk/can of beans/whatever) and rotate.

if you do just this- it'll totally help, but you really start to feel it when you add weight.
