So- I've been toast free for a week now, too.
Sugar free for 3 weeks.
I haven't had pasta since Italy last year. (because, honestly, why even bother?)
I haven't had beans/rice since s. america. (because, guh, i'm sick of beans and rice to be honest).
"so what the fuck do you eat?"
Because I can only cook once a week, I make a bunch of stuff and put it in containers to nom on throughout the week.... here was last week:
pulled-pork (pork shoulder + can of tomato puree, tea-spoon of vegemite, old bay, pepper, half a can of lite beer.)
Cauliflower curry mash
ribbon zucchini! (in lots of different ways). I peeled the zucchini with a veggie peeler and then flash-fried it in a pan with various things. I made 3 batches: onion/garlic, old bay, mustard/vinegar sauce. (The mustard was my favorite)
Brussels sprouts (roasted with olive-oil and salt/pepper.)
Kale chips (confession: I like these a lot... sometimes I'll just have these with poached eggs).
Next week:
Zucchini lasagna (http://fastpaleo.com/recipe/zucchini-lasagna/)
spicy silverbeet (I don't really know what silver-beet translates to... but it's a big leafy green veggie.)
Kale chips
broccoli crunch salad (from whole-foods)
paleo philly cheese steaks (or... stuffed peppers with philly-cheese-steak-goodness.)
What am I craving?
16-grain toast with vegemite and a good sharp cheddar cheese.
