the 7 min complete workout

05/11/2013

Look at this

My friend, Autumn, asked me for a bunch of exercises when I visited her last fall. She just bought a kettle-bell and was anxious to start using it.

For all those who don't have a kettle-bell, but still want to work out-- here are the 12 body-weight only (read: no equipment) exercises that you need to do to get an "all body" workout.

Do each for 30 seconds and then rest for 10 seconds.
The rest is important! but it's also important to PUSH YOURSELF for the 30 seconds.
NO CHEATING!

1) jumping jacks
2) wall-sit
3) pushups
4) situps
5) chair step-ups
6) air-squats
7) dips
8) plank
9) high-knee running
10) lunges
11) pushup and rotation
12) side-plank

to review: do __(exercise)__ for 30 seconds, then rest for 10 seconds. then move on to the next exercise.

do this until you're done.

Do you usually spend the ten seconds resetting your timer? I'm just wondering the best way to keep track of the time.

So- there are like, 100000 apps that will calculate this for you. Normally, I'll either set a timer that just counts up/down or i'll use one of these apps that Beeps when it's time to go/stop.

(the one I have is called "seconds". But just google "tabata counter" and there are some free web-based ones as well.)
