the military standard for women my height/age is 168.
before the gluttany of xmas, i was sitting at 171.2
after the whole pumpkin pie i ate (oh yes. you read that right) and the ham and the ommnommnomm I'm now sitting at 174.4.
why do we gain weight during the holidays?
salt is a big contributor.
"For every gram of glycogen (the form carbs take when stored in your muscles) in your body attracts three grams of water... Between sodium and the carbs from dinner last night - it explains why you put on 7lbs. Lol. 1lb = 453 grams. If you consumed 600 grams of carbs, what's your overnight gain?"
(My friend autumn sent that to me yesterday after reading it on someone's facebook wall).
