Games Designer extraordinaire
I have paid the first bit of the £100 deposit needed for me to enroll on a Games Designer course. I have always wanted to be in the gaming industry and this is the first step for me so I will now start learning about all the things which goes into making and designing a game.
The course is open learning so I can study at my own time and the lectures are all online and are recorded just in case you miss them or need to go through them again which I personally think is a great feature. As I haven't paid the full amount yet I only have the text book which accompanies the lectures so I am going to start studying the first section (the introduction) as soon as I have finished writing this entry and submitted it.
At the end of the course they help you to find a job in the gaming industry and there is an exam at the end and they give you a grantee card which entitles you to redo the course free of charge (the course is around £4500) if you dont pass the exam. I hope I wont be needing to use that but the course is at least 2years so that's great and as I am learning from home I can study and do the coursework that needs to be done whenever and where ever I like.
That's all for now
