Howdy,
Today started well, did my presentation for Academy on evaluation methods and got some good feedback. Managed to sort my direct obs out finally, im going to see a client called Glenda who has learning disabilities and is part of an adult protection case due to her partner abusing her. So thats sorted.
I went and attempted to do my good deed for the day...giving blood for the first time. It was all going smoothly, had the finger prick test that was fine. Got on the table thing, had the needle in my arm, it hurt but otherwise was okay then the machine starts bleeping and the nurse started to fiddle with the needle which not surprisingly was rather uncomfortable. After about 10 mins of this, the nurse coming back every minute or so to fiddle with the needle again he finally just takes it out. I apparantly have very small veins which meant that the blood wasnt flowing properly out the tube and into the bag. So yeah i only gave half a pint and went through all that for nothing! Though i did find out that they will use my blood, just to test out machines and blood work technology so at least it hasnt gone to waste.
Then came back and went to go to work but found that i'd left my radio on in the car and the battery had died. Had to go through the palava of ringing AA and getting Hannah to drop me off at my first call and then rushing back to get home in time for AA. I had to walk through a really dodgy part of Broomhall aswel, it was traumatic!
But yeah the car got jump started and i drove it around for abit to charge it up. The AA man was like do you know why its died and i had to feign innocence like "no i have no idea, i just went to turn it on and it was dead and i mean i just done know how it could have happened." (I am only supposed to call the AA for roadside cover not for something that i have done to the car myself so mum told me to lie basically.)
But yeah panic over i guess, im driving to the deep on Sat so i hope that when i try the car tomorrow i works again.
Just watched the Bill, it was such a good episode! Blues sat on the bed with me, his mites are all gone now, i just need to remember to take him in for his mixy jab at the beginning of March.
Right, im going to sort through all the eval forms i got back and try and make sense of it all!
Later beasts
