I said goodbye to Pie man today, it was his funeral at the crematoriam. He died last saturday, but he'd been really ill recently so i think it was just his time. Really sad though, he was one of the first clients i met and the very first i did on my own. He was lovely, a proper old school gentleman. The service was nice and simple, lots of his carers turned up which was nice.
Im heading off into town now, just for errands and stuff. Need to get a mothers day card.
Were having a Red Nose day night tonight too Milie! Its all very exciting! Were having wine and chinese and generally vegging out from start to finish!
Has anyone read Lord Lamings report into the baby P case and childrens services? I would imagine not but obviously i have. Its very interesting indeed, he makes 58 recommendations! Thats rather a lot of improvements! All management are to go back to the classroom to be retrained in social work issues. Ha! Its good though, childrens services are lacking and i think it will be really beneficial if everyone adheres to the recommendations. Noone argues with Lord Laming! He was the one that introduced new legislation regarding child protection and multi-agency working after Victoria Climbie died and thats really helped so far.
But yeah its just interesting really, its a good read, he know what hes talking about!
Got this weekend off, were thinking about going to the Peaks but it depends on the weather i guess.
Im loving 'Chinese', 'Who'd have known' and 'I wanna'! I love all 3 albums i got when i went home actually!

I have not read lord lamings report, surprisingly. But i've just been reading the press clippings re: the stanstead expansion challenge being defeated in court, which I guess you don't care about!
