promises worth repeating

I know I haven't written in a while -- I haven't had much inspiration to write, despite all the things going on in my life since January. I'm having ups and downs and a lot of nights with very little sleep! So here's an update of my life since January:
- I took the semester off. It was definitely weird for a while but it was so nice to relax! I've been taking classes ever since I was 16, almost every semester so being able to just take a break was amazing. I was able to focus on my job and all the other aspects of my life.

- My dad finally found a job. He works as a hotel manager at an Extended Stays in Oakland/Alameda. He doesn't like it much because the other manager is a friggin' douchebag but he's staying there until he finds something better. He will be getting health insurance soon though which I am super excited about because my mom and I desperately need to go to the doctor!

- We adopted a puppy! We adopted her at 4 months and she is now almost 7 months. WHOOO! We named her Bambina, and she's a red nose pitbull. She's totally adorable, spoiled, and gorgeous! I absolutely adore her. The kittens will be a year old in July and they drive my mom super crazy because they do stuff around the house they shouldn't be doing.

- My dad bought me a car. I love it! I can definitely drive now but not park so I am not driving full time yet. I'm going to continue practicing this summer so I can start driving by the fall. I finally finished paying it off (to my dad) this month so I'm excited. Now I have to pay off my laptop.

- We are hosting a student from France this summer. Super excited about it! He'll be between 15 and 18.

- What else? Work is going OK. Julie and my mom got into a fight a few weeks ago so now my mom and I aren't talking to her. For once, it wasn't actually my fault that they got into a fight but Julie brought me up during the fight because she's a fucking idiotic douchebag who is super jealous of me. URGH.

- Besides that, everything else is great. I'm going to work full time this summer so I should be able to pay off some bills that I've been putting off and they are piling up! I've also been babysitting, house sitting, and dog sitting a lot. Last weekend we had 2 dogs staying at our house, plus our dog, and the kittens! It was madness according to my mom (I wasn't home to help since I had a 2 day babysitting gig -- super exhausting!). Both dogs were picked up on Monday and I came back home Monday afternoon. I had to pack my stuff to stay at this house (starting Tuesday), taking care of Lucky until Sunday. I'm so exhausted!
- My brother is now 12 and driving me crazy! He gets embarrassed over everything and going through too many phases for me to keep track off.
