Hi. So Thursday I took Niklas in for his 18 month check up and he is doing really well. The nurses and Doctor are very happy with his development and growth.
At 12 months: height = 30 inches, weight = 24 pounds, head circumference = 48.5 cm
At 15 months: height = 33.25 inches, weight = 26.9 pounds, head circumference = 50 cm
At 18 months: height = 33.75 inches, weight = 30.3 pounds, head circumference = 50 cm (ish...they said it was about the same)
They said that it is pretty normal to see a slow down at this point. We will see more growth next time, but that is in 6 months for his 2 year check up.
I hope you got to look at the pictures from October. It is going to be a long winter with this little boy! He loves to be outside! Halloween was interesting, he wasn't to sure about everything and I tried to put him in a dragon costume and he wouldn't have anything to do with it. So we went with something a little less out of the ordinary and just added on some accessories to clothes we already had. He didn't understand the whole trick-or-treat thing, but he loved visiting [the adoptive father] at work and the fire station.
I'm not sure when you might want to get together here yet this year. We are pretty open until we leave on December 12th. I hope we can meet up before we leave. Otherwise we will be back on January 6.

He sounds like he is doing great. thats' nice they make the initiative to meet up with you.
It really wasn't, but the adoptive mother was really comfortable with me. We also talk on the phone a lot. I actually just got off the phone with her a minute ago lol.
