Well, Niklas was a Zebra for Halloween, although we didn't go trick-or-treating, just visited both my parents and the adoptive father's parents. Then on Sunday, Niklas' cousin came over and they played with pumpkins in the yard. He is doing so good at sitting up on his own! He has mastered rolling over both ways and now rolls around-I posted a video of him going from back to tummy. He has been trying to get more mobile, but can't seem to get his arms and legs to work together-when he gets his legs in position, his arms are not and so he more kinda pushes his way around in circles.

We went to the doctor of Friday for his 6 month appointment:
at 4 months: length=25 inches ; weight=16pounds-6ounces ; head circumference=44.25cm
at 6 months: length=27.25 inches ; weight=17pounds-9ounces ; head circumference=44.50cm

so has has really gotten longer... and heavier, although I sometimes feel as if he weighs more!

Saturday we started cereal. Niklas wasn't too sure about it and he made some great faces. He did better with it on Sunday. We are just slowly starting him on the rice cereal first and then we'll move onto some veggies and fruits maybe next week or so. At this point he is just trying to learn what to do with solids and spoons... but he's doing good so far from what my friends are telling me!

Random noter.....He definetlly is growing well. I love the faces babies make when they are eating foods for the first time. I bet in no time he will be all over the place

It's a good idea to send birth father some pictures and a bit on how his son is doing. If you're not going to see him then it's least you could do. If I were the father or mother, I would want to see how my child was. I wouldn't want to be restricted from the child - when the child grows up, they can make their decision if they want to track down their real parents and meet them? So, it should be good to have some contact in case that happens.♥

I dont want to start an argument but I dont agree with you. Where was this guy her whole pregnancy? Where was he when she gave birth to him? Where was he those first few days after?

If he wanted to see pictures of this child he has a mouth, he can use it.

(PS, I know exactly what she's going through so dont try to hand me any of that, thanks )

I agree with you, "Mama". The birthfather was a total douche-bag to her!!

[He will be sent a legal paper, where he will have to check either:
-He is the father.
-He might be the father.
or he is definitly not the father.

If he does not mail in the paper, he will be notified of the court date.
If he does not show up to the court date, then I am free to sign the papers.

If he does want to try and keep the baby, the judge will go through a series of questions.
The judge will ask him if he has a job, if he has a place of his own and if he has a criminal record.
He will have to pass every question.

The birthfather's parents cannot step foward and try to take the baby, or say that they will care for it."]

And like you said, "Mama", if he wants to know, he should ask. She even ran into him not that long ago and he didn't even say a word to her. If he was that interested in how his child was doing, he would have gone through numerous measures to keep him or at least know how he is doing.

if you read a bit more of this diary, you'd know the father's a dick. if he's interested, then he can say he is. not everyone wants to know their kid. he might not want to.
