Great way to wake up!
Hello!
Sarah, thank you for the pictures! I really appreciate you sending me those. I've sent you a link to some more pictures I posted today.
Niklas is doing great and even letting us sleep a little at night! He went to the doctor on Monday and weighed 7 pounds - 6 ounces and was 20 inches... all measurements made the doctor very happy. He eats well... he's up to 3 ounces every 3 hours (at night he sometimes goes 4 hours), which is right in line with the average he should be eating at this time. His cord stub fell off early on Monday so we've been able to bath him in the infant tub. He seems to like that better than the sponge bath - but not by much. Oh and I lost the bet... Niklas pee'd on me the other day once I put him in the tub... I really thought that he would have pee'd on [the adoptive father] first! He has had a steady stream of visitors the first part of the week, and we are certain that he will have more this weekend.
We have been blessed with many (many) clothes for him and are actually having to turn some away! I have a pretty good size donation box of clothes that are the wrong sizes for the seasons. The flooring for his bedroom didn't come in like we hoped this week, but they are showing that it will be in on Monday so his room should be completed by next weekend. I'll provide pictures once it is completed - all we have left is to put up the crown moulding, install the floor and finish the trim along the floor!
Well, I probably should get going... I try to sleep when he sleeps here at night since I have to get up with him every few hours. I hope you both are doing well and again let me know if you have trouble viewing the pictures.
Thanks for visiting.
