Liar Liar

06/13/2013

Okay, I'm just gonna say it right now, I gave up on the socks. I just can't figure the gd things out! I just threw away my 8th attempt. Dammo.

Anycase, today I went to the dentist because my teeth were hurting me like hell...after an x-ray and examination, in which I wanted to bite the dentist's finger...it was determined that a cavity was causing me the pain. The dentist put on my chart that I needed an appointment for a filling ASAP. Double Dammo.

They actually had an opening for 1:00 this afternoon, so I took it.

Let me explain to you right now, that I am a HUGE baby about my teeth. It takes an enormous amount of Novocain for the dentist just to be able to clean my teeth. Wicked huge baby.

I requested Nitrous Oxide for the "procedure". Okay, they were down with that, knowing my history. Having never actually had it before, I was a little worried about what I might do or say. I needn't have worried...it did take a lot of time to actually get me to where I was relaxed enough for them to even give me the Novocain IN THE ROOF OF MY EFFEN MOUTH!!!!

But, I digress.

I really don't know why they call it "laughing gas" because I didn't laugh once. And I pointed that out to the dentist. She said that different people react differently to the stuff.

They wound up filling 2 cavities, and I have 2 more on the right side of my mouth. Triple Dammo.

So, she used this tooth colored whatever-it-is in my cavities...my husband said that he didn't even see them. The dentist explained that for that was because it was more "aesthetically pleasing". Seriously? Why do I care what they look like, I don't look at them.

Anyway...they are also going to fit me for an occlusal guard. Because I clench my jaw at times, and I have taken to grinding my teeth at night. Okay, I hope my insurance covers a lot of it, because it's $500. Ugh.

Yikes, teeth are starting un-numb...
