So I knew it was going to be empty this year with COVID and everything, so we only got a small bag of candy. Plus, we moved to a new neighborhood this past July, so I didn't really know what to expect. But what I truly didn't expect was that we would get ZERO trick or treaters. Absolutely none. No kids walking around in the neighborhood. And frankly, not even a whole lot of decorations asdide from maybe like a cartoony little ghost hanging off of a door, or maybe like a fake pumpkin or two out in the driveways.
Maybe 2020 is truly the year that Halloween died. Even if it weren't for COVID... it's not like Halloween is a bumping holiday every year.
My rich lawyer cousin who lives in a gated "estate" neighborhood with these massive houses and yards... said he got 100+ trick or treaters. What in the hell dude. I guess holidays are only for the rich now. |
