2010 hmmm

So here we are, 2010.

Last year was disappointing in many ways.
I felt that it was a waist.

It started by my counseling center closing and I was moved to a different department in the company. I went from 20 hours a week to 4 hours a week.

I had officially completed my certificate of advance graduate study's december of 08 so I was not in school for the first time for an entire calender year since I was 3 years old. I felt lost, bored and unchalenged.

I brought in the 2009 year with my first girlfriend but it only lasted a few months.

so with no school, no girlfriend and working only 4 hours a week, I had lots of time to do nothing. I tried to find a job. I applied to about 130 jobs and I did get 2 interviews out of it but that's all. I was on jdate, the jewish dating site for 6 month but that was a waist of my time and money. I did get one date out of it and although I thought the date went well and I wrote to her the following day to tell her, she had other feelings.

There was one shining star that shined brightly in 2009.
I had met a cousin from New Jersey who I never knew I had. Hayley is a very caring, sweet, understanding, going with the flow type lady. We had connected so well that first time when she and her boyfriend at the time, now fiancee, came up to meet the family. We exchanged emails and from that point on, not many days went by without an exchange of emails. She came again for the Jewish Holidays and she stayed in our spare bedroom which is right next to mine because Anthony could not come. Both nights she was over, we sat on my bed and talked to each other till about one in the morning. Anthony is a very lucky guy. They're getting married on 10 10 10. I am sure I'll cry on that day.

Another good thing was that I went on a road trip with my buddy Sidney. We drove to NY to see a Yankee - blue jay's game at the ne Yankee stadium. It was stadium 15 for me. From there we went down to DC and stayed with his sister. We walked around Baltimore. It was very fun. We went to a Baltimore Ravens - washington redskins preseason game. We left Baltimore and headed back but hit major trafic in NY. We had heard on the radeo the Mets were playing the Giants. He asked me if I wanted to go. I knew he was tired but he knew how much I wanted to go. He said that we go and see if there is tickets. If there are, we will go. City field, the new home for the METS was stadium 16. It was an awesome trip. 3 sporting events in 3 days.

My trip to NY to see Nikki and a basketball game between the Knicks and C's was a pretty good weekend too.

The last cool thing for me, Bon Jovi came out with a new CD that I LOVE LOVE LOVE. I know just the first week alone I listened to the cd 11 times. With new cds come touring. So I am going to see bon jovi in Seattle with Nikki, in NJ with Hayley and with my mom in CT. If I had someone to go with to see him in my own state, I would go to that too. I am really excited. I believe it will be bon jovi concert number 16-17-18 for me.


However, it is time to turn the Calender and say good bye to 2009 and hello to 2010.
