Surround me

From life’s casualties

The seagull flies by my window
The moon and sun both know

335. After 2AM

In my unique world
after 2AM it's quiet
it gives me time to think
and write
and think some more
Some thoughts are good and some are not so
while others are thoughts of my dreams, my hopes, wondering where my life will take me next
After 2AM, no phones are ringing
no doorbells dinging
no TV or Radio on
I think that was a yawn
In my unique world, all the games are over, the bats and balls put away
the basketball gyms are locked up for another day
the last goal has been scored
and now it’s all ignored
It’s just me and my thoughts left alone
left to drone
where my thoughts can be
crazy wild and free
If you are lucky enough to hold the key
You are fortunately able to see
The real me
