another game? (g5) memorial day

05/27/2013

It started off a nice day. My twin brother came over with his wife and my nephew. He's so cute, funny, smart... and my sis and her fiancee came over later with our cousin Heidi and her son Jalen and we had a nice lobster (illlll grose!) and bbq memorial day lunch. My mom also made a pasta salad, asian coldslaw and a regular salad. She also prepared veggies for the grill to go with the burgers and hotdogs. Everything was so yummy.

During lunch, my twin got a text from a family friend asking if anyone wanted to go to the Red Sox game. It was a general text. So he replied on my behalf that Jonathan would like to go. Eventually we heard back from him and I was the lucky person who got to go. woo go me!

They did an amazing tribute to all war veterans. They honored 5 of them and then had one sing the national anthum and another bring out the flag and had the children say "PLAY BALL!" and in the 7th inning, before they did take me out to the ballgame, the woman who sang the national anthum also did god bless america. It was beautiful.

The seats I was sitting in was just amazing. It was behind home plate second section up, 4th row. I could hear every "pop" of the catcher's glove and each crack of th bat.

Unfortunately, my radeo didnt work. I think there was too many radar guns around me or something. It was all static. So I had to rely on my friend who I've only been to a few games with over the years so he wasnt so great at the beginning about telling me what was happening but by half way he got the hang of it.

The Red Sox ended up beating the philladulphia phillies 9-3
moving my record this year to 2-3. GO RED SOX!

Today is memorial day. I have a handful of friends, including my tx friend Lisa, who not only served for our country but spent time in the middle east on the battle ground, seeing the worst of the worst.

I appreciate, love, thank, and believe in everything which those brave men and women have done and continue to do unselfishly, to keep this nation we call America, free and safe
