I am sure my fellow bloopers are just dying to know about my forth so let’s get right to it.
I got picked up on Saturday by my twin and his wife about 11. We stopped at my sister’s new condow and my sis gave me a quick tour. She’s on the second floor. You walk into a pretty large room that has a fireplace. If you are looking at the fireplace, the kitchen is to the right and there is a deck off the kitchen. If you go right off the living room is a hall and in the hall is a closet and off the hall to the right is her bedroom and the left is her bathroom. And… that’s all. My sister Amanda and her girlfriend stacy were painting. While we were up there Amanda had Justin put up the medicine cabinate. I was feeling a little HIllo, from the paint, so I asked Lindsay if she could take me out side. So we went out side with their dog and just sat on the sidewalk till Justin came down.
We headed up to the beach house and stopped at a sub shop around the corner that we’ve been going to since we been going up for the forth 28 years ago. We brought the subs back to the beach house which again, is on a road 3 doors down from the beach. My parents were already up there and while I was eating, my sister’s friends came in, well 3 of them. Amanda 2, Angela and cory. Eventually Cory’s husband Anthony came up and my sister Amanda and stacy came. My best friend John, his wife Kat and the baby Holden. My older bro Robert came up a bit later in the day. There wasn’t anything on tv so I just sat on the couch doing nothing. Mostly listening to other’s conversations and sweating. It was 90 degrees out and we didn’t have AC, just a big fan.
About 5 we headed to the Gloucester parade. I wish I can recall some of the conversations cause it was pretty funny. The parade? Was just another parade. Firetrucks, letter trucks, police, marching hs bands, floats with various 4th of july things and hs cheerleaders. No one was telling me what was going on with the parade.
We went to Valintinos after the parade like we usually do. A local pizza place. Friends of the family were there and others. We had about 20 at our table. We had salad and masarella sticks first. (I had salad) then came the pizza that did taste a little different but was still very good. I had 4 slices. John’s baby was feeling tired and I didn’t want to go to the fireworks anyways so I went back to the beach house with John, Kat and Holden. Kat changed and put the baby to bed while John and I sat on the side port listen to xm 202. He was telling about this dr show that was on at midnight. They mostly talked about sex stuff so of course I thought it was awesome. They were doing an experiment that night but my dad came home and lit up a cigar with John and so we shut off that show. My father wouldn’t approve. He’s an old timer. He’d be horrified if he heard a second of that show so I didn’t hear the results of the experiment.
My dad and John were sharing stories about being on the road. My dad use to own a taxi company so he’d take a trip to NY to get some cabs and his best friend Al would tag along. I heard most of my dad’s stories a few times over but some of the stories John was telling, I haven’t heard yet. My dad went in about 2 and we went in about 3.

9;30 THE BONDFIRE!
The highlight of my forth of July
John, Kat and Holden led by me, found our way to the front of the croud to watch the fire. Within 3 minutes of it being lit, Kat retreated with Holden back to the truck.
John and I, like I like to do every year, stand as long and as close as we can, I should say I can, he stands behind me when it gets too hot for him, in the front row. This stack of 40 feet of wood, the braze reaching to about 100 feet as it ingulfs the wood with the outhouse on top and they tilt it so if it falls, it falls onto the beach. I was sweating and the hairs on the front of my legs felt like they were burning but I didn’t care. John said to me at one point, “except for firemen, no one is within 20 feet of us” I turn to him and say “awesome! We won this year!”
We did move back slowly at the fire climed. AND, once it is too hot for me, we retreat back to the truck and everyone bord.
Saw the regular 4th croud back at my parent’s friend’s millain dollar home on the water. (includes a hottub build for 8, a pool table room, a tv room with a 60 intch tv and a full stacked bar and they have a lower and upper deck that over looks the water.
We have a bbq and there is about 30 or so people there. One of the family’s kids who is 35, is really sad to see. He has bipolar and has a drinking issue even though he attends AA. I remember when we were young and he was a smart, athletic fun kid. Drugs really messed his brain up.
The mother, makes these wicked awesome chicken wings and burns them just how I like them. “BLACK” yum. I had about a dousin wings.
About midnight I went back to the house with John, Kat and holden. John lit off some fireworks at the beach for Holden. (like a 1 year old cares?) they are illegal, but people do it any ways. I stayed back but don’t remember what I did.
John and I sat out on the porch and my father joined us again. They smoked and shared stories again as I listened to the stories and promoted second hand smoke.
The girls got back about 1 from the hottub and hmm no, wait, my dad came home with the girls. So he must have got home at 1 as well. My mom came home a bit early, she was tired and went to sleep earlier. Somehow, once again, we jammed 100000 people into this little house.
5th of july
My mom made pancakes for everyone in honor of John’s b day on the 6th. He use to stay till the 6th and we’d have pancakes but since he got married and his father in law’s b day is the 4th, they selebrate it on the 5th so they (including me) go home on the 5th. My mom make different flavors of pancakes and made some bakon too. It was hot out, so I only had 2 pancakes.
We left about 1pm and that’s… the 2010 4th of July with Jonathan and his friends and family.
I hope you have enjoyed this chapter.
Stay toon for the next episode when Jonathan and his flying seamonkey battle DR. Claw JR to save Penny and her son, Nickle.
