Catastrophic Devastation *poem

Catastrophic Devastation
2-3-2010
Jonathan

In memory of those who lost their lives
do to mother nature's Catastrophic Devastation
May they all rest in peace

It was game 3 of the world series of 1989
San Francisco and Oakland found themselves in a different state of mind
At 5:04 P.M . an earthquake shook the stadium to it’s core
God closed his eyes, leaving many building no more

Christmas made many children happy in 2004
No one was prepared, for what mother nature had in store
December 26th, an earth quake in the Indian ocean caused a Tsunami
God closed his eyes, many bodies washed up sea

All was quiet on Bourbon Street that day
People were preparing till the levies gave way
Hurricane Katrina crashed through, August 2005
God closed his eyes, not many were found alive

It was another hot day, beneath Haiti’s sun
There was no warning, the world was left stunned
An earthquake shook Haiti, Magnitude reading 7.0
God closed his eyes, Many bodies labeled John doe
