As it is closing in on 3AM and I only got 3 hrs of sleep last night, I am going to keep this short but I wanted to write this down.
I went to the red sox game tonight and it was fun. I went with my cousin Heidi and two of her friends. Although the Red Sox lost, 5-4, only their 3rd loss in the last 17 games, I was ecstatic when the PA guy made an announcement before the 9th inning.
First, you must understand my love for baseball and the history of the sport, is far greater than my love for my Red Sox and you know my passion for the red sox is immeasurable.
.
"tonight's attendance of 38,422 is the largest attendance for a Red Sox game in Fenway park post WWII." (Prior to WWII, there was no fire codes)
This attendance was 104% capacity
So I can say that I was a part of History in my favorite place in the world.

A friend of mine quit his job the other day. He wants to go to the library with me to go job searching. We exchanged resumes and at first glance, his resume looked like a hs student did it. There was a zillion titles heads, having sections that he pretty much made up to look more professional when it really just took up room and was redundant to other sections. He said I could change it. I asked him if he really was sure that I could do that? he said yes. Each of his titles-sections I.E. the individual work sites, was written as a paragraph and had no bullets. After nearly 2! 2! hours of having my resume opened... to refer to, his resume open, for contense and a blank document for me to rewrite his resume, I trimmed a 3 page smooshed resume, into a pretty nice looking 2 page resume.
He can be very hot-headed about things, he can stress people out... even the relaxed... me at times. Some of the things he tells me that he argues about over with his wife, I want to smack him and tell him that it's not worth arguing over and you have no clue how lucky you are to have a wonderful lady with an amazing job as your wife. (actually, I did remind him that a few times and both times he said that I was right)
Anywho, I said to him after writing it up, The email subject being "you won’t appreciate this"
"I spent the last few hours copying-pasting and rewording-correcting some
things. I am sure you are just going to read it over once, then delete it.
My only question I would have is dates you took the classes. There is
nothing I could do about that since I don't have that data
Ok, your turn to jump on me and beat me up on what a horrible job I did at
fixing up your resume. Go, have a field day lol"
Friend: outstanding job jon, seriously. Thanks for your help we will get together thursday i think works.
Thanks again man.
ME: ***embracing myself, waiting for your evil laugh, followed by hurtful words***

***still waiting***

*** I just know it… here it comes***
Wait, what did you write?
Friend: I was just brainstorming with my wife. And she came up with grantwriter. Dude, it's a perfect job for you. You would be great at it.
No hurtful words, I am beyond that. I think your great I wish you would. But grantwriter dude, you would be perfect for that gig.
Start looking your writing is impeccable and you wouldn't have to go anywhere to do it. You can write a grant for me for community
activist hiring local kids to clean up parks. Think about it.
** "your writing is impeccable" I never thought in my life time, I would receive any type of appraisal or anything like that for my writing. (poetry doesn’t count lol)
I suck at writing. My spelling is that of an elementary student, my grammar is fare, and I hate trying to figure out how sentences that end with prepositional fraises to have them not to and homophones are my evil enemy as I do all my reading by listening so unless I take the time to go letter by letter, I have no idea how to spell the word. (example, in my romantic-erotic story I am writing, someone pointed out that I wrote the word “berry” instead of “bury” I never heard that word with that sound spelt with a U. I guess no one ever corrected me. Although I am thankful, I am also frustrated by it.
As I thought about it and spent about 10 minutes researching the “field” of grant writing, it does sound like something I would be interested in doing. I could help him get money for parks, I could get myself money for a doctorate degree, and I am sure a certain someone would not mind some money for a photo studio.
