Funaral for a queen, tickets stadium #18, Thank you Wakefield

I'm sure most everyone watched some part of Whitney's funaral.
I watched the last hour or so till the preacher started preaching. That's not my thing.
It was a gathering of the who's who.
One thing that I thought of when I was listening to it, "these types of funarals are reserved for kings, queens and presidents"

I was trying to think of someone, other than a King, queen or president, where they had the entire funaral on tv and on multiple channels. I couldnt think of anyone.
Then the contravercy, about the gov of NJ lowering the flag in Whitney's honor. Once again, something that would be reserved for a king, queeen, president or a person who died in battle.
Even if people think she is the greatest female singler who ever lived, I have to agree with my parents. She did not serve for our country. She did not hold some important governmental position.
However, it was still amazing to hear all the nice things people said about Whitney. She will defanately be missed and never ever ever, be forgotten.

On Friday, Boston Red Sox long time pitcher, Tim Wakefield, officially retired at the age of 45.
He was a charitable man off the field, and a team player on the field
He played 19 years in the majors, the last 17 in Boston for the Red Sox. He helped the Red Sox to 2 world series championships, (2004-07) while amassing a career total of 200 wins, 186 for the Red Sox, only 6 away from tying Roger Clemens and Cy Young with 192 wins as a red sox. He retires near the top in many pitching categories besides wins, strikeouts, years played, and #1 in apearances for a pitcher. He will be remembered for his unpredictable knuckle ball pitch, and always willing to take the ball, whether as a starter or a closer, whether he pitched the day before or hasnt pitched in a week. thank you for your dedacation to the Boston Red sox and the numerous charaties you have started and donated to. We will miss you and hope your post playing days will be relaxing and fun.

Wednesday night I was curious and checked on tickets for the houston astros texas rangers game on Saturday, May 19 in Houston texas.
There was a lot of good seats left but since I had my pick of seats. I went ahead, bought lower level seats in right field. I think we're something like 7 rows from the field. really cool. And even more cool for me, they are giving away "Nolan Ryan 5th no hitter bobble head dolls" of all days, I'll be there. (He's my hero)
I posted it on fb, and said something like "I'll give anyone 5 bucks if they can name all 17 stadiums I have been to" Some people made fun of it, but my sister Amanda and my twin's best friend, Jared, both tried. They did come up with 13 of them between them.
