Hold on, Decembers moving fast

12/08/2011

Hello, not much to report.

My father's doing well. He's down to 1 drop 3 times a day but still bored. He was able to go to a rotery meeting yesterday and is going to a play in Boston with my mom tonight and Saturday, he's going out to a restaurant with the family. So thanks for all the thoughts and prayers.

I got a phone call o Saturday from my friend Lisa in TX. She is back in school after 15 years. She is taking psych 101 and I helped her with her past paper, come to find out she got a 97 on. and she was calling for help on this paper. She had to find a song that talks about a mental disorder and write about it. I thought that was such a cool idea. I could only think of two songs off the top of my head but knew there had to be a lot of them. I found a list someone had compiled on the net and I was shocked. This person had a list of over 200 songs about mental disorders. The funny thing, s I thought about it, not only did I not realiz a bunch of songs I knew had to do with mental disorders but as I thought about it, there was a bunch more. So I sent her the link and came up with an outline for her to follow. ...Monday about noon time she called me. She says that she usually reads her paper out loud to her bf, but she never got the chance to, could she read it to me. I of course said yes. I stopped her twice to correct things and I didnt like how she ended, it sounded like she abruptly stopped so I wrote the ending for her and she thanked me... I hope she does well.

My younger cousin's Bar Mitzvah is a week from Saturday. What an exciting time for my family. I am doing an alea. (a blessing over the torah before the Bar Mitzvah boy-man, does his) and I will be doing the blessing over the wine for the kiddish. Then we're having a celebration but I will tell you more about that after it comes-goes. We're also having family from NJ coming for that.

This Saturday Red Sox tickets go on sale. So excited for that. I have my money saved up that I can buy what I want.

Every year we have a Chanukah party. Unfortunately for us, Christmas falls on the only Saturday of Chanukah so after my mom agganizing over when to have it, she decided on Friday the 23rd. It wont be an all night thing as people would be tired from a week of work but we'll invite and see who comes. My mom has gifts for all. If you came, I am sure she'd have a nice gift for you too lol.

Last Friday was my boss's son's first birthday. awww
I had bought him a gift. I left it for her Tuesday and I got a phone call (that I didnt get to in time) I listened to the voice mail and it was my boss. Thanking me, telling me how thoughtful that was and how cute the gift was and she couldnt wait to go home and put it on her son. (It was a MICKEY MOUSE OUTFIT)

Work itself is going alright. The last few weeks there hasnt been a big turnup for my groups which makes me a bit frustrated but nothing I can do. I ended up just doing 1-on-1's on Tuesday and those went well. Today we're doing a writing group. I'm trying to teach them to write paragraphs-letters.

Nothing more to report on.
I am sure this month will go fast.
This Saturday redsox tickets, next saturday bar mitzvah and the following saturday is Christmas eve and we would already be at the half way mark for Chanukah. and the following Saturday is New years eve... my sister's b day. and then the month and year will be over.
So you better hold on tight We're in for a fun ride

I'm glad your dad is recovering well, and I'm glad work has been ok. Sometimes the more uneventful it is the better, considering.

This month is going CRAZY fast. 2012 is right around the corner. EEK!
