*second attempt of writing this*
I finally booked my flight to texas and I am wicked excited but it wasn't without anxiety.
I looked for flights last Thursday, just to get an idea of how much they cost just in case they did win.
So last Thursday I found 85 dollars each way, leaving on Thursday 28th and returning on Monday 1st.
I looked on Saturday night, and I saw 98 . It was late and I was tired so I would just book it Sunday. I looked on Sunday and they shot up to 104 on Thursday and Monday 228 but Tuesday 104. I emailed Lisa, she said no problem but my sister told me to wait, she maybe able to get a team
discount. So I waited till Monday where not only my sister couldn't give
me a discount, but the Tuesday flight back was 228 as well. I was frustrated.
How is this not illegal? Making up Random prices then change it every day without notice? Imagine seeing a good deal for a washer-drier, you tell the person you will be back with your sinifigant and it jumps by 100?
So Tuesday I get a message from Lisa, asking if I got my flight yet. I told her no. I got on my computer and called her to have her get on her computer.
I guess depending if you have looked at a specific deal already, they know that and can change the price on you? So I had Lisa on the phone and she saw that on Thursday it was 95 but on Monday and Tuesday it was 228. She then saw on Wednesday that it was 95 dollars. She told me to take that one. I was shocked, although it was first thing in the morning on Wednesday, I would be staying at her place for 6 nights? So lisa in her carefree tone she goes "sure, why not?"
So. I booked it and my grand price with taxes and fees?
*drum role* $223!!!
I was thrilled. I was looking at paying $228 each way at one point and here I ended up paying 233 all together! So I'm going down on July 28 and not returning till august 3rd.
In one of my emails to lisa I jokingly said that the rangers are playing a home game on Thursday night. She said ok, we'll get tickets. I said I was only joking. She said no no, it's ok, Matt (her bf) wants to go too. So.

I know some of you love when I write about work
On Tuesday, we had a very interesting day.
We had a perspective new resident visit for a dinner meeting and to check out the house and to meet the other members.
So first I sat with him and the person who drove him to have a 1-on-1 to get find out what his interests are and his goals.
So first I introduced myself, I told him the time plan for his stay. (meet with me, meet with the group, have dinner and socialize)
I then told him more about myself and then asked him to tell me about himself and what his interests and goals are. He asked me questions about the house and with incuragement, he asked more than a handful of them. I did have to redict him a couple of times. He seems to be a likable and funny guy and I had a good feeling about him.
We then had the house meeting, where I had the man introduce himself and then we went around the table and everyone introduced themselves to find that a lot of them already knew him from other programs. I then had the residents go around again and tell the man something about the house and what they are expected to do. after that they were asking questions back- forth and it was a very good group.
I went down to talk to my boss. and tell her how it went and what my innicial impression was.
I went back to my computer and started to write up the report and somewhere in my typing I heard...
Boss: who are you?
Stranger: who are you?
Boss: this is not funny. What are you doing here?
Stranger: what does it matter to you?
Boss: This is my propity and if you dont leave in two seconds, I'm calling the police.
some homeless man? walked right into the house as my boss was calling the perspective resident down stairs to meet with her.
that was some scary shit.
Expecially knowing what happened on January 20th, that will always be in the back or at times, front of our minds.
Which, reminds me, the HR director called work to talk to me. He had a few "yes or no" questions and he had either an investigator or a police man on the line as well.
He asked me if I knew deshawn (the killer) I said yes
He asked if I had much interaction with Deshawn. I said yes
He asked if I knew Stephanie (RIP) I said yes
He asked if I had much interaction with her. I said yes.
He thanked me for my time and cooperation
I am puzzled that 6 month after the insident and only now I was asked if I knew these people?
