The blizzard of 2013

02/09/2013

HI all, and just in case anyone was worried- wondering how I am...I'm well.

The snow started lightly someday in the very late morning yesterday and that I know of, it's still snowing as we cross 1pm today. we got about 30 intches of snow, with snow drifts in some places reaching 6ft high and the Plows not helping the matter by the snow at the end of my drive and walk ways being well over 4ft high.

My father and I were out last night, him with the snow blower and me with the shovel at 7pm and again at 10PM then this morning, we were out there at like 10AM

my father actually couldnt get out of the house without the help of a neighbor shoveling the snow away from the side garage door so my father could get out with his snow blower.

We are very lucky. Our power never even flickered but we were prepared just in case. My mom was cooking-baking up a storm yesterday just in case we did lose power for a day or two.

and that's the news and I am out of here
(so I can take a nap. may write something later, )

We shoveled 6" at bedtime last night, to have the storm dump 30 more inches overnight. We still aren't plowed. It's surreal.
