I hear all the time that sports athletes shouldnt get paid the money they do.
Then I hear stories like what I am about to share with you, on why it is ok to me if they want to make every dollar they can.
On Friday night, at the Lakers's game, at half time, former president Clinton announced that at least 9 players (currently up to 47 players) are going to donate 1,000 dollars for every point they score. and the agent company which represents these players are going to match it.
You and I certainly can not donate even 1,000 dollars, never mind millians. If these sports athletes did not make millians, they can not donate their time and money to help in causes such as this.
Stories like these should be front page news. Unfortunately, it is just a single link on a major sport's page.
I also heard, not that Tiger woods is the most cared about person right now in the world, he quietly donated 3,000,000 dollars to Haiti. three millian dollars! You and I wont make half that in our life time. Never mind donating it.
I can come up with hundreds of other stories that are simular to these in the sports world.

Monday: Went to a basketball game with my twin. We had gone to one of our favorite places for dinner, Boston Beer works. He had a Terriachi chicken salad. I had an order of buffalow wings and onion rings.
We went to the game. We had got these tickets the first day tickets went on sale and we paid 75 bucks each for the 3rd row from the back wall. I did not even buy from a scalper.
I went to go see my favorite player, j kidd. He had a game that defy his age. He had 13 points, 4 rebounds and 17 assist. The Celtics were up 50-41 at half but the second half, they forgot how to play. They ended up losing, 99-90.
tuesday: I voted in the special MA senator elections. There was a huge upset. I am sorry if the healthcare plan d at noo oes not go through but it's not my fault. I didnt vote for brown.
Went to work. Did a 1-on-1. There is a new form that is being used the entire state. about time they stat uniformally using documents. I emailed it to my boss to ask her if I did it correctly and if she could sit down with me to see and hear what I hear to make sure I did it right.
Wednesday: Redsox nation. I got a subscription to redsoxnation 2010 for Chanukah. Part of the subscription is two tickets to a game. You could order the tickets beginning on wednesday. I got through and sat in the waiting room before my computer changed the screen. I had a little trouble was able to get two tickets to see the seattle mariners. I want to make sure I see Ken Griffie JR before he retires.
Fox Woods: my parents and I went to foxwoods casino. My mom had got a free night there. I did not do well but I had fun. There is a wizard of ozz game that I love. There are various bonuses you can get. The chair vibrates and there are speakers in the chair so it was like suround sound. Its a very stimulating game. I put 20 bucks in about 12;30 and it lasted 4 hours as I played till 4;30AM. We went to get a snack. We went to the DnD but they were open but only sold drinks at that time of the morning. I was looking forward to a muffen but non to be had.
Thursday we played for about an hour and then we left. I had to go to work and I was there on time. My boss said that I filled out the document out but the issue was that I used my own goal for the client, I needed to use the house goal for the client. So al long as I use their goals, I'm good.
Thursday night and friday was spent emailing people. I had a lot of love when I was gone.
This week end minasoda is playing new orleans and indi is playing the jets. I think min and indi will win but I wont be suprized if new orleans and or the jets win.
hmm ok, now what do I do?
I want a count down thing for my entry but dont know where or how to to find-get them.
I want like 4 of them. lol 1 for each of my bon jovi concerts I am attending and one for baseball opening day |
