Although I'm not surprised, she's got it.
I nominated Lily (one of the girls currently working for me and she was a former student of mine) for a scholarship. With her grades and my reputation in the department, I actually had no doubt that she would get the scholarship.
It is now confirmed! But my department head told me not to tell Lily yet. She wants Lily to find out through the official notice.
