Well I survived my 1st week in my new job, I am now just eager to get on with it and do what I should be doing. Hopefully if my old cases get closed and my computer system details changed to the new team I can be allocated my own caseload and complete assessments by myself. So fingers crossed that will all get sorted next week when my ex boss gets off his hols. The team I'm working for are lovely and have made me feel really welcome which is good for me because it takes me a little time to get settled properly because I struggle around new people.
It's so nice just travelling 40 minutes to wok instead of my usual 2 hours, which means I do not feel completely exhausted by the time the weekend as arrived. I might actually be able to ffunction over the weekend rather than sleep all day.
Off to the solicitor's on Monday to sign the contracts for the sale of our house and the purchase of our new one, so fingers crossed everything is going smoothly. Who knows we could be moved by the end of March, once we have names signed on the dotted line.
A week tomorrow I will be undergoing torture at the hospital and having my wisdom teeth extracted, I am just so glad I will be completely under for it, I panic just getting my teeth checked and cleaned. Got my pre-op assessment on Wednesday afternoon, so I am going to have to carry a pee sample in my bag all day, I just hope it does not leak 
I had some good news yesterday, I have been offered a job interview for a permanent social work job which is a major bonus in the current economic climate, thats why I am just working on the Social Work bank at the moment. The job is fine but I've always got the worry at t he back of mind in regards to what will happen if I do not get placed somewhere. I have a mortgage and bills to pay every month.
Wel thats about it for now, hope everyone has got some lovely plans for the weekend, mine is to spend it with my fiance who rarely gets weekends off  |
