Okay...I'm over it! :]
The past few days kinda sucked. lol Melissa was off, so I enjoyed spending time with her. But our hot water heater busted. We told the landlords 2 months ago that it wasn't putting out hot water. The guy came out and fixed it himself instead of calling a professional. That just made it worse. So I told them over and over again. But they never did anything about it. The other day, I heard a hissing noise, but I didn't think anything of it. When we got home that night I still heard that noise. I started checking around and when I moved the board in front of the hot water heater, Water shot out at me. I called my cousin, but he couldn't really do anything. We just turned the water off. The next morning We called the landlord, He didn't come out there until almost 5pm. [remember we've been wthout water this whole time.] He looks at it then leaves. He comes back 30 minutes later and drains the hwh. Then tells us that there's nothing he can do at that moment, and now we can't turn the water back on because if we do it will burn up the hwh because he drained it. So, once again another day without water.
This morning, around 11, our landlord's father comes to fix it. He can barely move around. We left. We came to my mom's house to get showers. I went home around 2pm and we had water again. Thank God!!
The point is.... if they had've listened to me 2 months ago... we would'nt have had to go without water for 2 days!! UGH!!! I want out of that place. They fuss about little things that we don't do. [like in the spring/summer we have to cut the grass EVERY week. if not, we get to hear about it.] It doesn't matter if we're working, or..OH.. I was sick one week. Couldn't work, couldn't breathe, high fever. The landlord comes by to ask about the grass, I say I'm sick and explain it and he's like, well I've done it while I've been sick, it needs to be done today!! Melissa was at work, so I had to go out there in the heat and cut grass!!
Then on one of those HOT summer days our window unit goes out. [this thing... I SWEAR...is from the 60's.] I call the landlord. Nothing. I've got 5 kids I'm babysitting alone. [1yr, 3yr, 5yr, 7yr, and 11yr.] We're all roasting!! The next day some guy comes out to look at the a/c. He says it just needs to defrost. He says to leave it off for 2 hours and it should work fine. 2 hours later it still won't work. I call the lanlord again! TWO days later the same guy comes back out. He looks at the a/c, then tells me he has to go to Dairy Queen and will be back in a couple of hours. He finally got it fixed. [as well as you can fix a 40+ year old a/c] And that guy left my house in a complete mess!! Which proves that my landlords don't want to pay an actual professional to get the job done!!
Anyways- there are things that he said he was going to do a year ago before we moved in that still aren't done!
*screams* I'm so sick of that place!!
Sorry...had to rant!!!! :]] Done now.
