previous entry: Scary way to start off the week.

because i am a champion & you're gonna hear me roar.

you'd be kinda hard to forget quote
busier than ever!

Wow do I suck at updating or what?! So sorry guys, I've been extremely busy the past couple of weeks and barely managed time to write this. I literally had to schedule time to write this entry...that's sad. Haha. I do want to say thank you to everyone who gave me advice on my last post and some very helpful tips. It means a lot and I appreciate you all being so caring I can't say that I've made any major changes to my eating habits...but I have been eating more. Even if it's just a little, at least it's something right? I will get there, I just need time. I have been spending a lot of time looking up low fat/low carb/low calorie snacks and I went grocery shopping on Sunday night and bought a lot of snacks to take to work. This way I'm eating more but without feeling so guilty.

Let's see....in the past couple of weeks not much has really changed. Work has been pretty busy, but I did get a $1 raise! Woo (this is at my full time job, not PetSmart). I roll my eyes because the rate of pay I get is still wayyyy lower than what it should be for what I do, but hey I'm grateful for the raise and thankful I even have a job - two at that.

school.

I started school yesterday, and I am definitely going to have a huge work load. It's only two online classes (I mentioned Stats and Business before), but they both require a pretty good amount of work. I went to the mandatory orientation for my Stats class today and after I got out of that I was feeling pretty hopeless about it and was thinking of dropping it. I'm horrible at Math and she did say that if Math isn't your strong suit you shouldn't be taking Stats online...I knew that from the beginning but I guess I thought maybe I could manage? Anyway, after venting to Anthony about it and debating with myself, I decided I'm going to stick through it and give it a try. The eBook is free for the first 20 days as a trial, and I can drop the class by September 9th so that gives me some time to get an idea of if I can handle it or not. I wanted to get it out of the way this semester so I can stop going to Harbor College next year and look into starting the veterinary technician program at Mt. San Antonio College. However, if I think I'm not going to be able to pass Stats then there's just no point of me taking it online and I'll have to take it on campus next semester. We'll see.

I have a few assignments already due on Sunday for both classes so I'm going to get started on that after this entry. It feels good to be back in school though and keeping busy(or busier).

in other news.

Anthony & I have been doing really well, our "1 month" was last Wednesday so we went out to Denny's and then saw the movie Jobs. I liked it; Ashton Kutcher did some great acting but it wasn't exactly what I expected. I won't spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen it so I'll just leave it at that. Anthony got me a coffee tumbler that I can put our movie stubs in (I save all of our ticket stubs from the movies we've seen). On Saturday we went and saw You're Next - which in my opinion was soooo stupid! Not worth it. I guess if you liked the newest Evil Dead you would enjoy You're Next. But I also thought Evil Dead was stupid so that's probably why I didn't enjoy You're Next. I figured since it was from the producers of The Conjuring (which was awesome!) it would be decent but nope. Blah. I'm excited for Insidious 2 and Prisoners! Anyone who hasn't seen the trailer for Prisoners go watch now...looks so good!

We haven't seen each other as much as we used to (maybe like 3-4 days a week now instead of 5-6) because of my work schedule & school, but I actually think it's a good thing because he's always telling me how much he misses me. It's funny because I was getting a little irritated with the fact that when we do go out to dinner or whatever, he always eats the most unhealthiest thing ever. I'm really not a judgmental person when it comes to how someone eats, and he's diabetic so I totally get that he can't be eating like I do (as in, not very much). But I am a person of respect and support, and I feel like if you know someone struggles with willpower in avoiding unhealthy foods, you wouldn't be eating the biggest, unhealthiest meal ever in front of them. At home or away from them, do whatever you want but in front of them, every time you go out? That's just a little rude to me. Anyway, I didn't say anything but a few days ago we were talking about making changes and he was saying how he shouldn't be eating like that in front of me and that he should be supportive - without me even saying a thing about it! I thought that was ironic and cute. -shrug- I like having him around and spending the time that I do have with him.

We're going to Universal's Halloween Horror Nights (I go every year) in October and that should be fun! Definitely looking forward to that.

Anyway, I think that's all I have for now. All I have time for anyway And again, thank you all for being so supportive and caring in regards to my last entry.

Yay for a raise! A dollar is better than nothing. Woohoo! I got a raise recently too. It's always nice, just doesn't seem like much after taxes are taken out!! lol

I saw Evil Dead, it wasn't terrible. I didn't hate it, I didn't love it. I liked it, but its a movie I wouldn't watch again. It was predictable, it's like you knew exactly what was coming which I didn't like. Surprise me! I got MaMa from redbox the other day and that movie wasn't scary at all. I like scary movies that are SCARY!! Not movies they make seen scary but aren't in the slightest. I've seen the first insidious. That was good. I have been to the movies in a long time! Like over two months. That's unusual for me. Kevin and I go to the movies a lot!

Ugh girl I know what you mean, after taxes are taken out it really doesn't feel like much of a raise lol. I hated Evil Dead! I don't know I'm not really into that stupid-scary type of movies, I thought You're Next was going to be more of a thriller but nahhh. I really enjoyed The Conjuring and I'm excited for Insidious 2! I didn't watch Mama.

Well you and Kevin should go see Insidious 2 and Prisoners

Kevin doesn't do scary movies so I either have to see them with someone else or wait until they come out on DVD. What did you think of the paranormal activity movies? I haven't see any of those either.

[*Pixie*|0 likes] [|reply]

I think I saw the first and third Paranormal (don't ask me how I skipped the second and went to the third lol). But I can barely sit still through those movies. Paranormal movies are the ones that scare me the most. Anything involving possession or demons are the scariest in my opinion because I don't know if it's real. :/

[radio.active|0 likes] [|reply]

Oh I agree completely. Most scary movies don't scare me but if you throw in possession or demons, I'm almost always getting chills and stuff. Like the Exorcism of Emily Rose. Gave me goosebumps. I believe that stuff can happen, so when you see it in a scary movie it makes it do much more scary to me.

I worked at a daycare years ago and the director was a Witch so she only gave me a .35 cent raise!! Some places just suck at paying people what they should because they are super cheap.

I don't like math either. :^( I'm going to get a tutor for my kiddo as she gets higher in math because I get mad when it frustrates me or a get it wrong. I know math is necessary but man it can be a pain.

On Monday I went 8 hours during the day without eating. I totally forgot and we were super busy. When I finally remembered I hadn't eaten, it was because I was close to passing out. Our bodies definitely need us to eat. Remembering to eat or even doing snacks when you are busy helps a lot. I am trying to keep my eating healthy so I do a small to medium breakfast, a big and filling lunch, and a light dinner. This way I'm not packing in food right before bed that I can't burn off. I'm not always hungry in the a.m. but I am at lunch. I've been doing soup for dinner and it's working well. Maybe that's something you could try or modify to fit your needs? Even a small thing of soup for dinner is better than nothing and you can keep the calories down. Nuts and protein bars are good too if you can't eat a full meal. Trailmix too. I hope you can find something that works well for you. :^)

I supposed I could try soup for dinner, I never thought of that. But it's been so hot here the last thing I want is soup! And I eat salads usually for lunch so definitely not salad again for dinner lol. Thanks for the tips! I snack here and there more in the morning (fruits, veggies, etc.), have a salad or frozen healthy meal for lunch, and then go to the gym after work and when I get home all I used to eat was a few pieces of fruit. I definitely need to add a light dinner so I'm not so hungry

And I REALLY have to add more protein to my diet. I do not get enough! Everybody always tells me that. I was thinking of starting to make smoothies at home since I always have so much fruit in the house and getting some protein powder to put in there.

Thanks girly Getting a tutor for your daughter sounds awesome, I wish I had one when I was taking math in middle school/high school! I hate it! Lol.

Glad to offer some tips :^) There are some yummy cold soups you could try. Look for soups with beans of some sort, they are good for protein. So are nuts & nut butters. I like almond butter on rice cakes for a snack. I love making smoothies! I have a whey protein powder I use and an egg white protein powder too. I add fresh & frozen fruits and even some veggies. Ground flax seed is good to add for omega 3's. Chai seeds are great for you too if you throw some in. I add a couple tablespoons of coconut oil too for a healthy good fat, plus it's so good for your body. Kindle often has free smoothie recipe books. If I see them I'll leave the link in a comment for you. :^)

That all sounds amazing! Thank you I made my first smoothie this morning and put a banana, raspberries, and a few apples in it with some nonfat milk. It was pretty good but I think I put too many raspberries lol. Recipes would be great!

That's good about the raise...even if its still lower than what you deserve....could be worse. That's great about the snacks. I hope it helps you get the energy you need to get ALL that done...wow...I feel incredibly lazy...lol. Working one job is like 'omg I can't take it' ...lol. And you have two and soo much other stuff. Good luck with the school tho. I hope it works out. I have to admit I'm getting motivated to do something about my weight again because of you...You look simply amazing! That's sweet of your guy to be considerate...I hate when I'm on a diet..suddenly everyone is offering me food or eating all this fatty stuff if front of me (that I love...lol)...and I'm like 'really...?...you're gonna eat all that in front of me?...I hate chu all...'...lol.

[StruckedbyEro|0 likes] [|reply]

Don't feel lazy! One job is usually enough! Unfortunately I have just always had to manage it with another job or school or something. But if I had the chance to go to school full time and just focus on that, I totally would.

Aweee thank you very much I'm glad I can cause some motivation Just be healthier about it than I am Haha. And I know what you mean! At my office job, they have breakfast for us every day and it's so hard to avoid it! They also buy cakes for people's birthdays and have a big feast for Thanksgiving...ugh it's sooo hard! Haha.

I'm glad you got a raise.

I suck at updating too. Clearly.

I know what you mean about the support. But I guess it's hard for men to feel the same. It's sweet that he did say he needs to be more supportive. Men want to eat what they want when they want it. haha

[oops i went glam|0 likes] [|reply]

You suck at updating but at least we talk on Facebook Otherwise I'd have to hunt you down missy because I have to know what's going on with you!

[radio.active|0 likes] [|reply]

i wanted to see that movie. maybe i can convince Mark to take me to to the movies this weekend. hehe.

good luck with school!

i'm a terrible updater too

RYC: Isn't he such a cutie?! My kiddo picked his name because of his eye color. We spent like an hour with me suggesting names before she picked that one haha. We took it super slow and they get along well now. :^) They still occasionally hiss but they can be out in the apartment together at the same time just fine. I wanted to make sure it would work so I did lots of research on how to introduce them!

I'm just dropping in to say I miss your updates!!
