I post personal ads in Craigslist whenever I'm feeling lonely. Sometimes I look up peoples emails on facebook. It's fun to know them when they don't know me. Plus I screen for people I don't think I'd be compatible with, based on their profile.
Some may seem like interesting and respectful people, but they all stop talking to me after a few weeks. I'm terrified of rejection. It's safer to sit behind a keyboard than take a chance of getting rejected by someone from Craigslist.
Yikes. This is a train wreck waiting to happen.
Meeting online isn't bad. You have to be smart & careful.
Meet in public places and never go home with someone until you fully trust them.
I met my husband six years ago on myspace. Now married & three kids.
But be safe and smart. AND don't toy around with people.
Well, at least you check the people out a bit first. Most people don't :/ But yeah, in most cases people online will stop talking if/when they start to feel like the conversation isn't going anywhere. The possibility of getting rejected in person kind of sucks, but your almost guaranteed to be rejected every time if you try to keep it to e-mails only.
