A very good friend of mine had breast cancer at the age of 21, and she made it through just fine -- just do what the doctors tell you, and you'll get through it. Her doctor said that when young women get it, they're more resilient because of generally good health, and are much more able to stand chemo/rad therapy.

You need to tell your partner. My grandma had breast cancer, they didn't give her more then a few years. But I believe that the support of her family helped her live those 3 extra years, but by then she was ready because she knew we would be able to move on with her in our memories. A family friend had it at the same time, and she beat it. Having the support system there truly does help you through it. Good days & bad days. Please, please don't hide this from your partner and your family. I wish you nothing but the best & will send you all the positive energy I can.
